@AuronMacintyre In fairness, this makes more sense than letting Iran make billions in oil sales while the rest of the world struggles, but then again we could have just not had the war to begin with.

Interesting It appears the new strategy is to make the Straight everyone’s problem and compel Europe to apply pressure or join the fight directly The question then becomes does the Admin have the will to hold to a globally unpopular course with serious economic implications

@RobBfromDerby In fairness, what he's threatening is to blockade Iran's oil so that they also feel the pressure as opposed to only us feeling it. It makes more sense than letting them use it exclusively to fund their war effort. I say this disagreeing with the war

@ptomer Honestly, I hope so. That would be a sign that maybe, just maybe, he's actually POTUS material. But even then, we will never know for sure

@planert41 My wife and I only have one so far (4 months!), but I'm the oldest of 6, so I remember what it was like when we were all little. I'll simply say this; those years will go by incredibly quickly, and you will long to get them back. Do not let it be said that you died well-rested.

Dads with young kids Is it normal to just feel tired and burnt out all the time? It’s like you don’t even really get the weekend to recover because it’s all just kid stuff the moment you wake up Arguably the only personal time you have is when they nap (and you’re already dead tired by that time) or the hour after they go to bed but before you pass out Just trying to figure out if I’m doing something wrong

When my son's lips turned blue, my wife and I had to pause and ask ourselves: can we afford the ambulance? No Kansas family should ever have that conversation.

@Pat_Stedman Because as you note, there is more to this marriage bond than mere intercourse. Telling a man that every time you have a baby there will be nothing on the table is pure manipulation or similar.

There is more to sexual activity than intercourse. But yes, a man should be able to handle no sex postpartum If a woman asks if you can go without though it's a major red flag. She's already thinking about sex transactionally and will use it as a form of control Stay away
Marge@maggistratus

Before you marry a man you should consider asking him if he would be able to handle at least 2 months without sex. His reaction is how it will be if you bear him children.

Be gracious Your husband just got home from a very long, hard day at work… and wasn’t as warm as you had hoped when you greeted him so warmly at the door. Be gracious. You just walked through the door after being gone for work all day, and your wife did her best despite not feeling well after a poor night’s sleep and trying to what felt like hopelessly keep up with four kids but the house is still a wreck and she appears exhausted and frazzled. Be gracious. The garage is still a mess and a few other tasks are not finished despite your husband saying he hoped to get to them a few weeks ago… during those few weeks he took a number of overtime shifts, left you grab a nap or two on Saturday, and had to deal with some unexpected car repairs. Be gracious. Does she really need another nap? Why are we always so late getting out the door? You told her yesterday that we needed to leave at 9.30… Be gracious. Good marriages are built on a foundation of graciousness towards each other. We will often “go the extra mile” for others, And we won't offer mere inches for our spouse. One of the most important reasons to be gracious to each other? Grace is what gives room for growth. The man who was poorly trained to pick up after himself and not needlessly leave a mess around the house isn’t going to grow through your frustration, anger, and nagging. The woman who was poorly taught how to keep a home and struggles with the daily duties isn’t going to grow through your frustration, anger, and constant pointing out of failures. Griping and resentment can kill any growth… both in yourself, and in your spouse. They are like herbicides to the garden of your home. But graciousness? It's like an endless fountain watering the ground just right beween husband and wife. The growth you desire in your spouse begins with growth in your own heart and soul, growth in grace

God will not bless America when this is who represents us. We were conned. The best Christians can do is admit it in humility, and ask God for mercy.

🚨BREAKING: 20 Republicans and 20 Democrats just co-sponsored the Dignity Act — the first serious bipartisan immigration bill in decades. What it actually does: No amnesty. No citizenship. No handouts. A pathway to legal work status for long-term undocumented immigrants who meet strict requirements — fully funded by restitution payments from immigrants themselves, requiring zero taxpayer dollars. Mike Lawler’s own words: “This is not amnesty. It’s accountability, it’s fairness, it is dignity.”

As Christians, we have amazing freedom with music. We can praise God with an electric guitar. With a 400-person choir. With synth beats. With rhythmic chants. With “loud clashing cymbals" (Psalm 150:5). With UK drill rap. With Johnny Cash-like outlaw country. Praise God!
