Pascal - The X Growth Guy@xgrowthpascal
I've grown my account to over 100,000+ followers.
But there are some things I wish I knew earlier.
50 things I've learned about growing on 𝕏:
(Bookmark this or you'll lose it forever)
1. X is the best place on the internet to grow from zero in 2026, nothing else even comes close.
2. the algorithm has never been kinder to small accounts right now. you just have to actually post.
3. one banger beats thirty mediocre posts, but you won't find the banger without writing the thirty.
4. replies are undefeated. 50 thoughtful ones a day will out-grow any "content strategy"
5. the 0→1K stretch is 90% psychological. the writing is easy, the silence is hard.
6. niching down at least a little is the real growth hack. specific beats clever every single time.
7. screenshots of DMs, sales, and proof outperform the slickest thread you'll ever write if you're trynna get paid.
8. threads are not dead, but bad threads are.
9. pinned tweet matters more than your bio, your bio matters more than your banner.
10. audience quality eats audience size for breakfast. one buyer > ten thousand lurkers.
11. you don't need to be smart to grow here. you need to be specific, consistent, and a little braver than yesterday.
12. the people winning on X right now started when nobody was watching, so start while nobody is watching you.
13. a paid product with 50 buyers beats a free newsletter with 50,000 subscribers (sauce).
14. you'll have four identity crises between 0 and 10K followers. that's the entry fee everyone pays.
15. post in the morning, reply in the afternoon, study at night. that's how you do it.
16. the build-in-public wave hasn't peaked, it's barely started. tap into it and lock in.
17. everyone you admire here was once exactly where you are. the only variable is "time on keyboard".
18. your first 100 followers will teach you more about writing than any course you'll ever buy.
19. the accounts that look effortless are the ones grinding the hardest behind the scenes.
20. hooks are 80% of the game. if nobody stops scrolling, nothing else matters.
21. every viral tweet you've ever loved was someone's 400th attempt, not their first.
22. engagement farming dies fast. signal compounds forever.
23. one good reply under a big account is worth a week of original posts.
24. the timeline rewards clarity, punishes cleverness, and ignores everything in between.
25. you are not late. the people who feel late are usually the earliest ones in the room.
26. "what worked in 2022" is the most expensive sentence in this game.
27. you can't think your way to a voice. you write your way into one.
28. the fastest way to find your niche is to publish badly in three of them.
29. if you're embarrassed by your old tweets, congratulations, that's evidence of growth.
30. most people quit at 300 followers because nobody told them 300 is the hardest number.
31. the dip between 1K and 3K is where 90% of accounts die. push through it and the whole game
changes.
32. numbers lie, DMs don't. check your DMs to know if you're actually winning.
33. the best content strategy is to become someone worth listening to, then document it out loud.
34. you don't need permission to start writing about something. you need 30 days of doing it badly.
35. impressions are vanity, replies are sanity, DMs are revenue.
36. the followers you steal with engagement bait will haunt you when you try to sell.
37. every dead account on this platform died for the same reason: they stopped posting before the algorithm trusted them.
38. you're not competing with the big accounts. you're competing with the 50 small ones in your niche, and most of them will quit before you do.
39. the people telling you "X is dead" are the ones who couldn't make it work.
40. a single thread can change your life. but only if you've written enough bad ones to know what a good one looks like.
41. the platform doesn't owe you growth. it owes you a fair shot, and that's already more than most places give you.
42. your bio is a billboard, not a résumé. write it like one.
43. there are no shortcuts, but there are accelerators. consistency is the engine, replies + giveaways are the nitro.
44. you'll know you've made it when strangers quote you back to you. or DM you with questions.
45. the worst thing you can do at 0 followers is act like you have 100K. the second worst is act like you have 0.
46. if your content could be written by anyone, it will be read by no one.
47. a real niche feels claustrophobic at first. that's the sign you've found it.
48. you don't need a personal brand. you need a personal pattern people can recognize in three seconds.
49. the followers come from showing up. the money comes from showing proof.
50. every account that ever broke 10K had one terrible month where they almost quit. don't let yours be this one.
now go build something.
