He did the easy way of looking like a good person without ever putting himself in a situation that'd show his true moral character.

@Junoesoffline @Nyanmandoge PLUS they use the lines "You can run from your demons until you are exhausted, One day, you will have to stop and find out what they wanted" which means something along the lines of running from your past, or misdeeds and eventually everything you did catching up to you
