So Essendon played hardball with the Hawks for the sake of one more season of Zach... a season in which they're 1-8. On what measure has it been worth it? And yet I'm absolutely certain their supporters still believe it was the right call, i.e. for the club to dig its heels in.

@PrinceISname I imagine Hawthorn's interest is still there, but they'll be gunning for other targets too, same as last year. I think the Hawks' mistake was going all-in on a deal that was never moving beyond a stalemate. Might have had Petracca 🤷♂️

@HawkTalkPod Bombers supporter here. Agree but believe deal wasnt to Bombers satisfaction given he is our best player. Ive seen and played enough footy to know when a player has had enough, he fits that catagory. Sour grapes leads to low performace, should have got rid of him IMO
