@ask_aubry I wouldn't be half the writer I am without fan fiction. Also, demeaning a PhD for any reason is awful. Hobbies don't negate any of the work she did for that doctorate. He is 100000% an aashole.

@autistic_hannah I was adopted & I always say I wish my bio mom had aborted me. But noooo. My bio grandpa just had to be Catholic so I'm honestly not sure she actually chose to go through with my birth of her own free will... which really makes it so much worse. 🙃

@autismsupsoc Something happened & I don't like bacon anymore. I used to be obsessed with it. I'd eat it on/in everything or just on its own. I was in denial awhile. I think my taste buds changed due to age or meds. I like it on burgers & sandwiches but that's it. So sadly my answer is bacon😭

@EGal89 @autismsupsoc Being trans is NOT a life choice either. Believe me. I'm trans. I tried for 27 years to be something I'm not. I masked like I did with my autism and ADHD. Then one day I realized that it wasn't who I am. I didn't have to force myself in to the said boxes you mentioned.

@autismsupsoc Muddle myself in last tweet 😂🥺 while I agree that people putting people in boxes is a sucky thing to do... But autism and trans aren't comparable. You have the "hate" on trans for making that choice (which it's their life and no one else!)... But autism isn't a life choice.

I don't know who needs to her this but many Autists are Trans and it's part of their Autistic nature. You cannot be pro-Autistic and anti-Trans.

@AutisticCallum_ Omfg how have I never put this together before? I've always had lots of crushes/obsessed over people, which rightly scared some off. But then I'd get over it so fast. I always thought something was wrong w/ me. Now I see it's hyperfixation! So obvious now I have the word for it.

Don’t usually rant on here but seen a post where a teacher is worried about a non verbal autistic child not wearing their coat at break. Someone suggested putting it on backwards & zipping it up backwards. Unless I’ve misunderstood what they meant..this sounds awful… 1/2

@hannaweeen Read about the overlapping symptoms w/ADHD. Then read about how there's bias w/ AFAB people. We're misdiagnosed w/ ADHD instead or have both but autism is missed. Was only treated for ADHD/GAD/MDD & yet I struggle in other ways. More I read, the more it fit. Esp my childhood.

@BWizard1984 @hannaweeen We do get to police language when it was crated by a literal Nazi eugenisist that used "functioning" labels to separate who could be used for labor and who should be euthanized. Functioning lables are harmful. Your son has different needs. That's how it should be phrased.

@adamfare1996 I say mental health struggles not sure if that makes any more sense. I used to say mental health "issues" but that felt worse.
