It is clear that for both private & industrial transport in Australia to become energy independent, we need to electrify—& exponentially so. This is not about politics, climate change, feelings or ideology. It is rational pragmatism. We have rare earths, wind, sun and water!

I thought Matt Cannavan raised a very good point on Karl's podcast. A lot of our oil is off the coast of North West WA, and we have like 60k people there. It'd be an ideal place to get our oil pumping again, allowing regional development that could further flow into our industrial sectors. It'd also be a great regional hub to spread some population into.

We have a monstrous amount of our own oil reserves, all sadly untapped due to ideological reasons. The tragedy, is that our hyper liberalised rulers saw fit to completely deindustrialise us, with only two refineries left in working order. We therefore have to import 90% of our fuel, over immensely vast distances. We are ruled by career politicians, who are sadly marxist and liberal ideologues. They have very little idea of the vast amount of diesel, kerosine and petroleum that our nation requires to function, and prefer to kneel at the altar of net zero. Australia needs a complete clear out of the political class. Australia needs a restoration 🇦🇺
