Poilievre was wise to sit down with Joe Rogan and show a non partisan face. In recent yrs he has gotten tagged as Canadian knockoff of MAGA because he appeared to be talking to only half the country, the kind of thing MAGA President Trump does routinely.

@JustMsR1 @crystal_suisho I want to believe that vulnerable students with complex needs will get more direct support as a result of this data, but I worry that it is ultimately going to be used to sell parents on the idea more charter schools and further privatization. 😢

Many #OntEd friends are watching this closely. I really hope this data results in more direct supports for students, and not in any kind of stigma about specific students or schools.

@ESL_fairy @crystal_suisho Complexity teams sound good in principle, but the UCP never delivers as advertised, and there's no guarantee that this funding will continue. This same gov't stopped collecting class size data in 2019, and now has a much bigger problem.

@ESL_fairy @crystal_suisho Yes, it is. Charter schools exist because they filled the gaps after cuts to public funding killed programs in the early 2000s. It just got worse from there. The reality is that many students with needs are neglected in AB classrooms.
