I mean....I agree with the conservative philosophy when it comes to justices/judges. They are supposed to rule on what was written. Because it was written by representatives voted in by the people. If you don't like a ruling because it was written a certain way, then it's the people's job to hold their representatives accountable and fix the problem with new legislation.

@Timcast It's the problem with a conservative political philosophy overly concerned with preserving things from the past rather than ensuring that they continue to perform a useful function. Conservatism only appears to exist to maintain Leftist mistakes from the past.

This is true for games that frequently access assets. But not too many games do so. And most hardware these days can usually deal with decompression pretty well. And I'd wager that the slight latency and CPU increase is worth the trade off if you're saving a few hundred dollars on SSDs lol

That's because there were no talks about removing the filibuster then. There wasn't a serious consideration. Instead, Democrats changed the Senate rules to allow simple majority for federal judge picks despite Republicans pleading for them not to. Harry Reid told them to fuck off and did it anyway. Republicans retaliated by doing the same once they got the Senate back and changed it to simple majority for SCOTUS picks.
And now that Senate gridlock is the norm...and there are constant talks about removing the filibuster...yes, I would not be surprised in the slightest if Democrats say fuck it and remove it once they gain control.

The uniparty establishment GOP wants that. They prefer being in the minority becuase special interests get everything they want and they can just blame Dems, play up the fear mongering, and pander to their voters for campaign contributions. They get more donations when they are in the minority.

@Timcast My question is....why? The original was a masterpiece already. The new one just doesn't have that same charm. I don't know what it is...but the lighting, camera angles, just makes it look like modern run-of-the-mill slop.
