As far as online shouting goes, I will point out that I spent years screaming at y'all about imminent climate collapse and people acted like I was crazy to think it would happen so quickly. But I was right about everything down the line. So here's another freebie of horror:

As a young man, I applied for a Director position for which I felt uniquely qualified. I was told “you’re not ready”and offered a staff job working for the manager under the new director. I was about to be laid off so I took the job. A white man with equal experience & education was given the job. Over the next several months, my manager commented to the HR Director that he needed someone for my job because I was “always helping the Director do his job”. The HR Director told me in confidence that she told the VP that I was clearly the better candidate. There was an Asian lady in a management position that I worked with frequently. She became an EVP at another company and offered me the same Directors position within days of her hiring. When I left the Director was fired after a couple months & I learned that he didn’t have equivalent work experience. For those who believe that all is equal, I still see decisions like this to this day. I’ve seen managers send emails to recruiters saying that they don’t want women or black people. Racism is alive and well. My time as a business owner & executive gave me a different view and it wasn’t rosy. We must do better! #BrianHopkinsforCongress

These two are the most vocal anti feminist and pro misogyny members of Congress. . They do not believe in women's equality. Except for themselves. The list of anti women votes between the two is long and sordid. MTG and Boebert espouse White Christian Nationalist and even more extreme pro Christian views. But when the two of them got out of their cloistered lives in Colorado ang Georgia. They expanded their world. They met new interesting people. Both decided to leave their family and find a new life. That's what a lot of people do. Boebert and Greene think it is just fine for them to have a life. To grow and maybe even expand their views of the world (although these two are still stuck in ignorant MAGA world) But for other women, minorities, LGBTQ+. MTG and Boebert do not want these folks to have the same opportunities and life experience. When it comes to Boebert and MTG. Hypocrisy is the game. Its OK for them to build a new, better life. But they put roadblocks against anyone else trying to do the same. The two poster children for GOP Hypocrisy. @NewBlueGeorgia @NewBlueUSA

@gregyoung I once had a similar situation. It was in front of a couple houses so I knocked and asked if they lost an indiscriminate amount of money. I figured if they knew the amount then it was theirs.

I was walking out my garbage, found a $50 bill. No cameras in area If I turn it into the desk it will just go into the person's pocket. I guess I could call the police? They will laugh at me. If I hear anyone mention it I will give it back but not sure what else I can do.

I'm kinda bored of domain-driven design being talked about as if it's all about bounded contexts. I want to swing the pendulum the other way, and focus on the part where you express the domain in code, refactor to deeper insight, and achieve supple designs.

Ok, I think I just don't "get it" but in dynamic languages, how in the name of everything holy do you know what the heck things *are*? Like, if I use an http client and figure out it has "get" and it apparently returns a "response" wtf do I do with that?
