@TimBontemps It’s unreal. Brick city. How has this been happening to so many teams? These are the best players on earth and we’ve seen some insane stretches where entire teams can’t make a shot.
you may have noticed that all prominent right-wing personalities on here are suddenly attacking same-sex adoption, almost as if they received their new directives overnight, but I'm sure it's a coincidence
Your morning white pill from @JeremyDBoreing is that to succeed, you must resist a victim mentality:
“One of the great truths in life is that you cannot behave as a victim even if you are one- perhaps especially if you are one bc then it is actually reinforced by reality…
One of the hardest things to do is to see yourself as a person with agency.
It is the difference between the people who succeed in life and the people who don’t.
It’s the difference between the people who are happy and the people who are not.”
Iran has been building not only its nuclear capability but also its conventional weapons capability to a point that it would threaten the entire region.
@POTUS is taking steps to make the world, our country, and our people safer.
White skin gives me and every white American immunity from the virus. But we spread it wherever we go—through our words, our actions, and our systems. We don’t have to be showing symptoms—like a white hood or a Confederate flag—to be contagious.
#AhmaudArbery is the latest American killed by the virus of racism.
The virus kills our black neighbors if they’re jogging, playing music, sitting in church, selling CDs, or carrying a bag of Skittles...
With an enhanced terror threat from Iran and Iran-funded terrorist groups, we must ensure the Department of Homeland Security is fully funded.
I hope my Democrat colleagues will finally decide to come to the table and bring their second shutdown in under six months to a close.
For years, Iran’s relentless nuclear ambitions, its expanded ballistic missile inventory, and its unwavering support for terror groups in the region have posed a clear and unacceptable threat to U.S. servicemembers, citizens in the region, and many of our allies. Despite the dogged efforts of the president and his administration, the Iranian regime has refused the diplomatic off-ramps that would peacefully resolve these national security concerns. I commend President Trump for taking action to thwart these threats.
I thank Secretary Rubio for providing updates on these issues throughout the week, and I look forward to administration officials briefing all senators about these military operations. I commend the bravery of the servicemembers carrying out these operations and pray for the safety of those in harm’s way.
Donald Trump is dragging the United States into a war the American people do not want. Let me be clear: I am opposed to a regime-change war in Iran, and our troops are being put in harm’s way for the sake of Trump’s war of choice.

Operation Epic Fury.
President Trump has been willing to do what’s right and necessary to produce real peace in the region.
God bless the United States, our great military, and Israel.
@atlsportsball@RickShielsPGA What model did you get? Because I’ve had no issues with distance and was just talking to someone yesterday who had a set that they felt like were a little too hot
@RickShielsPGA They’re fine. You’re going to lose some distance because of the traditional lofts and less stuff inside, but forgiving and feel/look great. They were a cheap investment and I’ll probably go a different route next year
FACT CHECK: MURDER RATE
In his 2026 State of the Union, President Trump said, "Last year, the murder rate saw its single largest decline in recorded history. This is the biggest decline, think of it in recorded history, the lowest number in over 125 years." A CBS News fact check has determined that is true.

The final spellbinding minute of President Trump’s State of the Union address will give you chills if you listen closely.
It was pure, unadulterated patriotism and American optimism.
TRUMP: “There is no challenge Americans cannot overcome.”
“No frontier too vast for us to conquer.”
“No dream too bold for us to chase.”
“No horizon too distant for us to claim.”
“For our destiny is written by the hand of providence, and these first 250 years were just the beginning.”
“From the rugged border towns of Texas, to the heartland villages of Michigan, from the sunkissed shores of Florida to the endless fields of the Dakotas, and from the historic streets of Philadelphia to right here in our nation’s capital, Washington, D.C.”
“The Golden Age of America is upon us.”
“The revolution that began in 1776 has not ended.”
“It still continues because the flame of liberty and Independence still burns in the heart of every American patriot.”
“And our future will be bigger, better, brighter, bolder, and more glorious than ever before.”
“Thank you, God bless you and God bless America!”
@JustinTrudeau Millions of Americans were on team Canada tonight.
Wonder how Premier Trump is feeling.
(for the uninitiated, Premier is the Canadian equivalent of Governor.)
MUST-SEE: President Trump annihilates the Supreme Court's majority for voting against the tariffs.
"What about al the money that we've taken in? Sir, they don't discuss that. How crazy is that?!"
@Secondshiftnews@ofctimallen They’re already heavily heavily taxed. We need to cut entitlement programs significantly. That’s where all the surplus spending comes from
Cause we can raise taxes on the top 50% of the country by a few percentage points and oay it down as well.
We can tax corporations at highers levels and pay the debt down.
And yes, we can stop some wasteful spending to help as well.
Clinton did what youre wanting back in the day. He didn’t just cut spending to do it. He raised tax revenue as well.
What is so frightening about a path to getting our country out of debt. It’s a balanced budget! Stop this country spending more than it has. Neither party shows any leadership or vision or courage to make the dollar the standard and showing fiscal leadership.
Dept of war is secondary name because only Congress has the authority to formally change the legal name of a federal department, as these entities are established and named through legislation. While a president may use executive orders to rebrand or use "secondary titles" in non-statutory documents, such actions do not override the official, statutory titles set by Congress. So still, no one calls it dept of war, it's dept of defense, or simply The Pentagon. And once again, trump and his admin relocated deported immigrants to the el Salvador mega prison and that alligator Alcatraz site.
Due Process: Both FDR's internment and Trump's 2025 deportations have been criticized by courts and human rights groups for stripping individuals of their right to a fair legal process.
Scope: FDR's policy targeted a specific ethnic group (Japanese Americans) during a global war, while Trump's recent actions targeted specific nationalities like Venezuelans, Salvadorans or individuals labeled as gang members.
Trump has chilling similarities in the use of dehumanizing language, racial profiling, and the use of the Alien Enemies Act to bypass standard judicial processes. A key distinction is that FDR’s internment primarily targeted U.S. citizens, whereas Trump’s current deportations focus on non-citizens. though Asian American communities have noted increased harassment of citizens during his tenure AND sometimes US citizens are deported even they are legal (legal immigrants and sometimes natural born citizens). Not only that, trump has called colored individuals low IQ. FDR, while personally more progressive than many of his predecessors, was a political pragmatist. He felt he needed the support of Southern Democrats in Congress to pass his economic reforms, forcing him to compromise on racial issues, a "hidden" cost of the New Deal. Despite the discrimination, many African Americans felt a new sense of inclusion in national life, leading to a major political shift in their support from the Republican to the Democratic Party.
