Most people play to play. They’re content Some people play not to lose. That’s like staring at the wall while driving 200mph.. eventually you’ll crash into it. Champions play to win. Champions know how good winning feels and they drive straight toward that as fast as possible.

Just watched my 3 year old son read the top of his vitamin container, follow the instructions, open the childproof lid and get his own vitamin. While it’s just vitamins, it was like that scene in Jurassic Park where you see the Raptors open doors and just think… oh shit…

“Son, you should put your shoes on before we start walking back to the car” Son doesn’t what to. “Son, if you’re going to run barefoot, you should run in the grass instead of the sidewalk so you don’t stub your toe. Son runs on sidewalk, stubs toe and now has bloody foot….

Being trendy benefits sellers but burdens buyers. In any interaction, the buyer holds the power. Therefore, it pays to be on the leading edge of the present. Be a trend-setter, not a follower.

@packyM Need more focus on results. Why are you learning stuff? To make things and get results. Don’t value and fixate on process over purpose.

the entire academic project needs unraveling if it can't survive a tool that can help people learn better. less focus on the means, more focus on the meaning.

Starting to see AI models like employees each with their own skill level. Some got promoted into roles way over their heads and it’s quite frustrating. Now I either have to demote them or let them go. It’s not personal, they just weren’t ready for the position.

@thesamparr When I first moved to LA, I worked at a burger joint in W. Hollywood. This woman came in weekly and we would chat and joke around and she would always say “someday I’ll bring my husband by.” One day, she finally did…He was Jeff Goldblum. The kitchen f’ed up his burger 3 times.

Saw Tom Hanks this past weekend. It was just us in a pizza shop. Instinctively, I wanted to shout "Is that Mr. White of Playtone records and manager of The Wonders, who had the hit single That Thing You Do?" Instead I just nodded and smiled. I'll live with this regret.

@thesamparr I saw Robert Downey Jr when I was out for a walk in Malibu. I walked past him, turned and threw up a peace sign. He gave me one back, said “what’s up, bro” and I just kept walking. Inside I was screaming like a teenage girl at an *NSYNC concert.
