@krzyzanowskim @badlogicgames You might like github.com/dpc/tau which is kinda pi in rust cc @dpc_pw
English

Pi, did you consider drop JS? because it's getting out of hands and @badlogicgames wont admit it should rewrite to rust!

@0xSero The Human Rights Foundation would like to fund more self-sovereign AI projects.
Here is the link to apply and I can answer questions hrf.org/program/ai-for…

@StephenDeLorme went to all of your sessions at the @TheBitcoinConf this week you and @Justinmoon were worth the price of admission then some, as well as travelling though three different time zones. keep up the good work. I look fwd to learning tons from you all.

@dpc_pw @EricSirion @FrameworkPuter 😂😂😂
I tried a framework a couple months back. It was close. The build quality just not there yet for me. Especially th trackpad. Hopefully this one gets it there. I might join you guys!

It makes a significant improvements in all the things that don't really matter to me, but that @Justinmoon rubbed in my face anytime I made fun of him for using closed source underfeatured appliance instead of a real computer. That one time he had his Mac running for 3 months without charging it, how soothing is feels to hold that shiny aluminum frame when going to sleep, how well the speakers sound when he blasts country music on full volume in coworking space, how he likes to rub the macbook's touchpad, and make smears on the screen dragging the binary from a tarbar to Applications folder to install something. Now, he will have nothing on us. No-thing. And that's priceless!
I think CEO does a great honest job going over the changes: youtube.com/watch?v=GnOpIQ…

That @FrameworkPuter 's FW 13 Pro ... So nice. Almost makes me regret that I've just got latest FW 13. Almost, because I'm still very happy about this new FW 13.

A personal note. After years of public discussion/work: the podcast, social media, venture capital, everything — I'm stepping back to focus on my family.
My kids are growing fast. My wife deserves the best of me. To everyone who listened, read, grew, and built alongside me — thank you. What a blessing you all have been!

@Justinmoon Good engineers are like good technical designs. They don't need to change, because they are built to compose well with whatever you throw at them.
🤣

@dpc_pw I've been making a tool with pi today and there were like 30 minutes when it was just randomly dying b/c node:fs functions didn't exist. So frustrating lol.
English

@dpc_pw Keep going. I've been tempted to do very similar things in the past. A hackable rust coding agent harness is sorely needed imo. I will try tau soon and give feedback.
English

No. It's just installing crap from npm is giving me the ick, and I have no good way to sync larger extensions between machines via Nix, like I do with normal binaries. And if I'm to install and update stuff from strangers, I do want to jail and sandbox it separately if possible. And IMO Unix runtime is just superior.
All in all I think it's safe to say it's prejudice turned learning opportunity. 🤣
English

Yesterday night I got Tau to work with ChatGPT Codex sub plan, and everything seems OK, so technically Tau is a usable and functional coding agent now.

Still needs some important core features, and UX polishing, but maybe soon I'll be working on Tau with Tau.

Hickey+Lowy spotting improvements like this are par for the course now. And /do automates it, so I don't have to tell it manually.

Code has a spacetime: complexity creeps along space (structure) and time (volatility). Here's an attempt to tackle that using AI.

@nvk I and the rest of the @PresidioPod crew must’ve fooled you because we are these people 😂 On our third decade.
Many people have moved to SF in the past year to work out of PB too. Great energy and productivity here.

For those who have claimed SF is dead I present you this data
