@Juul To calibrate the indicent light for blanking while using the entire range of the ADC, you need to be able to linearly adjust each light. Manufacture variation in LEDs is significant when actually measuring. You need a way to adjust your initial as its critical to all measurements

Omg I think I found a solution for ultra cheap and compact plate readers...well, at least the addressible lighting aspect of it. Behold, a 16-bit FORTY EIGHT CHANNEL led driver chip. Not on sale yet (announced in May 2023) but I be droolin 🤤

@ATinyGreenCell If you put all your content on an open platform that's searchable, usable without login and won't likely be inaccessible in ten years. I don't care if it's also in other places but it's hard to be excited about supporting work that's locked away on increasingly closed platforms.

@ATinyGreenCell What's the power usage in cooling mode though? Peltiers are not known for their efficiency

I love this adorable little incubator. It heats and cools, can go from around ~4°C to 60°C and is very very quiet. Temp guage is off by half a degree so keep a wireless thermometer in there to adjust your setpoint, but pretty good for the money and so smol a.co/d/dzpU9Ql
