Starting a new project, I’m worried if I go with Blazor, I might regret it down the line cause there’s x that it doesn’t support. RazorPages and MVC have been out for years and are battle tested. Anyone feel the same?

@wes_walke Xavier - it's dotnet mvc with a JavaScript output like react for the front end. With 8.0s new bearer auth system it's going to be a game changer. Use python, c#, and JavaScript on the same page.

@wes_walke Cloudflare R2. Reliable, easy to use, cheap. It’s S3 compatible so you can use Amazon.S3 package in .NET.

.NET devs, how are you storing user uploaded files in your apps? I've used services like Imagekit and also stored uploaded files on the server in the past. What other services or techniques are out there for storing user uploaded files?

you really should be focused on the code, not distracted by colors. Remove all the colors from Lualine. 👇

@CHBernasconiC On Linux, for .NET development, VS Code sucks. IF you want a decent option, you have to pay for Rider. Otherwise, forget it. The dotnet cli doesn't even format blazor projects 🤦‍♂️

The biggest objection to using #dotnet seems to be the developer experience on Linux. 🐧 I think Visual Studio Code and JetBrains Rider are great solutions. 👍 Do you believe there is a need for another option, or is it more a 2nd class citizen feeling that puts people off? 🤔

C# is: 1. Open source with compilers on GitHub 2. Free to use.. free as in beer... anywhere you would like 3. Runs on Windows, Mac, Linux with the open source .NET Runtime 4. Secure and trusted by governments and enterprises everywhere

@CHBernasconiC Love the drive! Do stuff on DX (Developer Experience) on .NET and Linux. Until that is sorted, .NET will always take a back seat for many devs. See latest stats for OS choice on Stackoverflow survey.

@dustinmoris @CHBernasconiC As a Linux user, I 100% agree. VS Code with all the required extensions still SUCKS on Linux for .NET Development. And if you want to use Neovim, forget about it! In comparison Go, TypeScript are lovely to code and work in on Neovim

What's preventing you from using C# or developing on the .NET platform in general?
