The NCAA has made slight changes to the punishment for targeting. This fall, a player disqualified for targeting for the FIRST time during the season, regardless of which half of the game it occurs, may participate in the next game. Any player disqualified for targeting a SECOND time during the season will be required to miss the first half of the next game. If a player is disqualified for a THIRD targeting penalty during the season, the player will be required to miss the entire next game (no players were disqualified for targeting three times in the 2025 season).

@7Flash7 @_JamesGtfo @alvinfoo So they don’t have it? If you don’t have immediate access to your “cash” then do you really have it? I’m being factious, I know how banking works.

This old lady handed her bank card to the teller and said "I would like to withdraw $10". The teller told her "For withdrawals less than $100, Please use the ATM." The old lady wanted to know why... The teller returned her bank card and irritably told her "These are the rules, please leave if there is no further matter. There is a line of customers behind you." The old lady remained silent for a few seconds and handed her card back to the teller and said "Please help me withdraw all the money I have." The teller was astonished when she checked the account balance. She nodded her head, leaned down and respectfully told her "You have $300,000 in your account but the bank doesn't have that much cash currently. Could you make an appointment and come back again tomorrow.?" The old lady then asked how much she could withdraw immediately. The teller told her any amount up to $3000. "Well please let me have $3000 now." The teller kindly handed $3000 very friendly and with a smile to her. The old lady put $10 in her purse and asked the teller to deposit $2990 back into her account. The moral of this story is, Don't be difficult with old people, they spent a lifetime learning the skill.!!

@_JamesGtfo @alvinfoo Why does a bank not have her $300k? Me personally I actually like dealing with people to actually make them do their job they get paid to do. It’s called customer service. Service your customers.

THIS IS WILD… Passenger says United denied a simple request that could literally save their life. Severe peanut allergy. One exposure = possible fatal reaction. All they asked for? A small buffer zone on the plane. Instead… they were told to basically deal with it and “email the company.” On a packed flight where people are eating inches away… That’s not a minor issue. That’s life or death. Do airlines have a responsibility here… or is this asking too much? ⬇️ 🇺🇸

Japan has a total of 1 hof, Venezuela has 1, DR has 5. But not trying to roast you. In 20 yrs they all will have 10x their current #. Baseball is one of if not the biggest sport outside of soccer in the rest of the world. Baseball is way too expensive in the states for a lot of kids to play. I’d say Japan had the biggest choke job, then DR. If you make the championship game in any sport and lose by 1 you didn’t choke. You lost to a great team. I question why our best players don’t want to represent their country the way players from other countries want to represent theirs.

@MLFootball Not even close. Baseball has literal All-Stars on every team in this WBC. The teams that realistically should’ve have won were either Japan, USA, the DR, and Venezuela’s they are filled with baseball talent and Hall of Famers

Then why did he step to the dugout and not first if his first thought was a ball? I think it was more ball than strike but you don’t take that pitch, you foul it off and live to see another. He got froze on a slider, and got rang up for looking for a heater. That wasn’t the first low ball that ump called in the game either.

2k rule #1: Never put the result of your at bat in the hands of an umpire. That means that we fight off close pitches. Yes that pitch was a ball, but it was too close to take. You never know, he could have fouled that off, and got a hanger next pitch and hit it out. I’ve seen it happen many, many times. Before 2k don’t swing at that pitch. With 2k, you fight off anything that’s close, because pitchers make mistakes ALL the time. Even big leaguers.
Grant Paulsen@granthpaulsen

My least favorite of all the arguments after a hitter is incorrectly called out for taking a ball. "You can't let that pitch go." Sure you can. It's a ball. You shouldn't swing at balls.

@JLucroy20 @LJ8MV3 What’s the worst that can happen when looking at a 50/50 pitch with 2k? What are the possibilities of swinging at a 50/50 pitch with 2k? 1 has a next guy up mentality. The other is relying on an ump.

The hitter’s swings, foul balls, and takes give you a good idea of his approach. What do I mean? Fastballs: Is he late on the FB? Where are his foul balls? Pulled foul? Or over the opposite dugout? Or, is he taking them? So, if late, this means that we pitch FB in, up, and expand down. If he’s taking them, he might be sitting strike offspeed. Also, if he’s late on FB, be careful throwing a get me over strike offspeed pitch. You will be doing him a favor. A good question to ask is, where can we go where his barrel can’t square the ball up? Offspeed: is he pulling them foul? Are his takes good or bad? Does his swing look comfortable on the offspeed? Where does he chase? A good tidbit to follow is that we should chase bad swings. The best hitters in the world can make the adjustment pitch to pitch. Most players, especially at the HS and below level, can’t do that. So if he takes a bad swing on a pitch, throw it again. If he takes it, throw a different pitch, then go back to bad swing pitch. Another tidbit is that if the hitter fouls a ball straight back to the backstop, be very careful repeating that, because he just missed it. Many more nuances to this but this is basic food for thought.

@JLucroy20 Can you expand on how you teach this concept to catchers? It's good to know what a hitter's deficiencies are, but that doesn't explain the proper way to sequence.

@yoitsjimmy_ @FSU_Softball I definitely don’t think she should have been awarded first for sure, unless it was ball 4. However I’m way too lazy to go back and look at the count. It’d been hilarious if the ump forced her back in the box though.
