Stop calling state pension a ‘BENEFIT’ it’s not a handout. We paid into it for decades and earned every single penny. Stop giving it to people who have never contributed anything

@pizzie12 It’s literally defined as a benefit in the National Insurance act. Now calculate how much you “paid in” vs how much you’ll “take out” then come back on how it isn’t a benefit.

Great chart in @London_Centric Newham contributes almost as much income tax as Manchester? Islington more than Birmingham? Fascinating

@Gdubs12353911 @DorHibbs3 Especially after spending £150000 to 'do it up'. Even if you spent nothing at all on it you would expect to sell it for at least £350k in that period. I smell BS

@DorHibbs3 If you bought a property in 1992 and sold in 2022 and didn't make a massive real terms gain, you're the unluckiest investor of your generation

I bought my house in 1992 for £75000 and sold it in 2022 for £300k , I paid over £80k interest on my mortgage so technically I paid£150kI did home improvements of over ££150 on the 30 years which helped sell at that price so in reality I haven’t made a penny so tax that labour

🚨 NEW: Jeremy Clarkson says benefits claimants should be forced to write a genuine thank you email to a random worker every week “It is SO kind of you to go to work every day so that I don’t have to. Thanks to you I was able to buy an even bigger television this week”

No #Saintsfc fan has ever said that what we did didn't break the rules, of course it did, black and white Phil. It's the proportion of punishment. City, 115 charges, clear titles won because of it = nothing. Chelsea, 74 breaches, including to sign Eden Hazard who won them trophies = nothing but a fine. Southampton: Go have a look at training for the opposition team, 3 times, no actual result whatsoever from it = £250 million fine essentially, and now losing our manager 2 weeks before the season potentially. How the f*ck does that work? We did wrong but the punishment should have been a fine, points deduction, and being sued by Middlesbrough in the civil courts. End of. We've lost more money than Everton, Chelsea, and Man City combined, and a bigger punishment than all of them combined. And a big part of that was the massive media scandal that took over the nations press; photos from boro's training grounds leaked (no other place they'd have got that Will Salt photo). You #Boro lot are absolute scum.
Phil Boro@pjcboro

@DanW2Capital If you tried admitting it was a blatant and repeat rule breach people might have more sympathy but I’m hoping for a lengthy ban for Eckert.

@FootballCliches Right? Because those people live with monkeys in the forests of their countries. They don’t use paper money, even less virtual money in a bank account. They trade birds and snakes from the forest. Adam, you should study the world a little.

Exciting times for Bournemouth 🍒 First-ever season in Europe coming up, a fantastic recruitment model, and their much-anticipated stadium redevelopment is well underway 🏟️ Feels like they struck gold by securing PL status when they did, something #Boro missed out on 🪎

@Jwright47 @SamCKx Agreed. Silly regulations. Who cares if the pitch is a meter smaller? Fans don't. We also don't want to pay $10000 to watch a semi final. That's what need to stop too. Too commercial, thats what the majority of Europeans think. Anyway, apologies again. I wish you well buddy 👍🏼

Accepted. I love yalls soccer stadiums and would love for yall to host which yall should. I just don’t want stadiums like Stamford Bridge to be permanently changed just for yall to host. Why is Anfield not an acceptable WC stadium, fans don’t give a shit about the distance from the side line to where the fans sit. That’s all I’ve been saying is that the FIFA stadium requirements is bullshit.

The USA has hosted 2 of the last 9 World Cups. 22.2% of all tournaments over the last 32 years. England, the country that founded Association Football and has the most watched and successful league in the world, hasn’t hosted it even once for the last 60 years.

Jayden Seales intentionally lets the ball go for 4 just to get a tailender on strike next over. The spirit of the game takes a backseat when things like this happen on the field.

@JacobHorsfall_ A 6 month ban would be OTT he broke a few stupid rules and more serious offences have got a short ban or no ban at all. Blown all out of proportion and excessive punishment already issued to the club. This would affect the club, massively not just Tonda.

You called me a fucking yankee scum. I don’t give a shit I’m white, racial slurs don’t work on me. However you didn’t post any digital hieroglyphs. There are 134 professional soccer stadiums in the UK. 62 of those seat under 12k. 34 in Scotland, 28 in England and Whales. There has most definitely people that have arrested in your country for their speech. It’s illegal for an American citizen to be departed from America and that won’t happen and if for some reason it happened, it’d be fixed immediately. What is America failing at? We spice our food, every home has AC, we are deporting military age males that wish harm upon our weak and innocent. Americans love legal immigrants and champion and support them. But if you came here illegally we don’t find that fair for the people doing it the right way so we are removing them from our country. How is that a bad thing? Your first act in our country can’t be breaking a law by entering it illegally. We do have issues but none of them have to do with UK soccer pitches not being up to FIFA Stadium Standards. Let’s stay on topic.
