Beat the Cubs in 2018 and 19. The years after that were irrelevant when the Cubs were in reset mode. The Brewers have had the upper hand the last decade because they have had the better team. Evenly matched last year- came down to one game at their place. Let's see how it plays out.

@Jwrose2 They do own the Cubs. What world you been living in since 2018? They trade their best players and still beat our ass every year

Face Misiorowski tomorrow and we got mid Cabrera going Wednesday. Could easily be a sweep for Milwaukee to continue their ownership of Craig Counsell’s Cubs

@ClarkMetAddison The Brewers are a well run, great organization. They don't "own" the Cubs- it came down to one game last year, and they won it at their park. Cubs fans seem to think they are just going to magically disappear one year when they are consistently a top team in the league.

@Jwrose2 I do. I watch for 162. Nobody is conceding shit. I can be pissed that for like the 8th year in a row, Milwaukee owns us even after stealing their manager. It’s an awful look

@ClarkMetAddison Concede the division to the Brewers on May 20th then (you'll still tune into every game).

@EVR551 A tremendous night for the (very) untrue narrative that the Brewers have just been far superior to the Cubs.

@EVR551 I'm sure this is going to illicit completely normal reactions from Cubs twitter tonight.

@ClarkMetAddison What it got you was time to patch things together, figure it out, and get closer to trade season where you can add on. Cubs are ten over. Brewers are close because they're good- did you expect to bury them in May?

@Jwrose2 What’s two 10 game win streaks gotten us? Still behind Milwaukee in loss column. Cool?

@EVR551 They would have if they had a President of Baseball Ops like Dave Dombrowski- who has charisma.

@EVR551 Feels like a good time to re-litigate the fact that the Cubs missed the playoffs by one (1) game in 2023.

@EVR551 Anyways, back to this extraordinarily hypothetical Nico Hoerner trade.

@SamOlbur The lesson for Cubs ownership and front office should be that trying to be a *little* bit better than the Brewers is not the goal. Utilize your financial advantage, and try to compete with the Dodgers and Phillies.

Well the good news for Cub fans is the Brewers are a game away from being swept. The bad news is the distance between us and the Dodgers feels bigger than ever. I thought MIL would win a couple.

@EVR551 Maybe (and this is a long shot), Cubs ownership and management will see at long last that the key to kicking the Brewers ass is simply to use your financial might to build a *much* better team than them, as opposed to trying to be slightly better than them.

@BrewPack8 Brewers were the best team in the league all year and deserve the chance to play in the LCS after years of tough endings. Cubbies took a step forward this year and will be back. Congrats, and good luck to the Crew against LA.

To the Cub fans who haven’t sent me threats and every insult in the book this year… amazing fucking series. That was as good as an NLDS gets. Incredible baseball team on the north side. I truly mean it… great series guys 🤝

@EVR551 The best part of the Cubs evening this up is that we can hopefully (finally) let this idea die that the Brewers are just leaps and bounds better than the Cubs in every area. The teams are evenly matched, and have been all year. Let's see what happens.

@EVR551 @TheBlogfines I think there is something to be said for the approach they take as an org- hit behind the runner, high contact rate, one of the best in the league with RISP. They also won the last two games because they destroyed the baseball.

@EVR551 Glad we can all finally agree on "hitting the shit out of the ball for two straight games and striking everyone out is a good thing".
