‼️CRIME: Migrant criminals with dozens of convictions shouldn’t get endless chances in Ireland. Yves Sakila a Congolese man with 60+ offences, multiple prison terms, still here since 2004. One more shoplifting attempt 80-year-old man seriously injured and Sakila dead. Both could have been avoided by swift deportation. Public safety isn’t optional. In 2016, Congolese in Ireland had a 63.2% unemployment rate, the highest of any group. (CSO) highlighting deep integration failures. Deport repeat foreign offenders. Protect Irish people.

A Congolese man died in Dublin on Friday after he was restrained by several security guards in an alleged shoplifting incident – prompting widespread anger and calls for justice. Video of the incident showed several guards on top of Yves Sakila, 35, in Dublin city centre as he cried out in distress. At one point, a guard appears to kneel on his head or neck. He later appears to become unresponsive. Police are investigating. The footage has prompted comparisons with the 2020 killing of George Floyd in Minneapolis. Local community members held a vigil on Tuesday, chanting “justice for Yves”. The Irish Council for Civil Liberties is demanding that the death be “swiftly, thoroughly and transparently investigated”.
