Was thinking of adding Unreal Tournament 2004 SFX to Tank Town 🪖 (think double-kill, multi-kill, ludicrous kill...) But got sidetracked when I found out that Unreal Tournament 2004 has been revived and made free by the OldUnreal group a couple of months ago 🤯 oldunreal.com/downloads/ut20… That's the weekend sorted!

0tanks.com is a #vibejam just added a leaderboard and a bunch of improvements! check it out, it takes about 1 second before you are in the game. no load screens, no accounts, just tanks guy

Switched over to "For you" tab after a long time and saw all the cool games people have been building. It's quite amazing that this much creativity has been hiding in plain sight purely because they didn't have the tools or knowledge to make it tangible. I expect game studios to raise the bar in the next few years. There is so much talent out there that's untapped and they can now find them by browsing X/Youtube/etc. timelines. Very happy to see all this happening... Now I need to focus on doing work and not playing games 😅

I never got as much hate as I got trying to keep @tinylaunch fair. It would be so easy to stop. • less work • no hate • more upvotes • platform looks more alive • more revenue because of it Instead, • more work • hate emails regularly, stuff like "me and everyone I know will post about this!!!" plus personal insults • less launches, less upvotes • platform looks less popular • less revenue because of it (presumably) I want to keep going, because otherwise what's the point? But damn I wish people who are caught cheating would just own up to it. I'm tired.

Spent just 2 days vibe coding and already have a playable kart racing prototype. AI has reached a point where even building 3D games feels fast and fluid. I used Cursor (Opus 4.7) with Three.js plus CC-licensed assets. The plan is clear. This will go live on Karts․com as a real-time multiplayer racing game. Multiple tracks, different characters, and constant expansion. The first track is inspired by Santa Monica Pier. Next step is more advanced tracks, boosts, slopes, and deeper mechanics. Building a game and watching your ideas come to life piece by piece is insanely fun. #GameDev #DomainDrivenDevelopment

After 15 days of hard work, I'm happy to share my game for @levelsio's 2026 #vibejam The game is called Hollowlands and I'm trying my best on it. Learning a lot of new stuff in the process. My previous game development experience + AI is a powerful combination that I honestly think it's underexplored by many. What used to take weeks of development now is being done in days, allowing me to focus more on the creative part of the process. Next step: Integrating multiplayer using @colyseus by @endel who's also a fellow brazilian 🇧🇷

My humble attempts at creating short videos for Tank Town. Models I tried: - Seedance 2.0 - Grok Imagine Video - Kling v3 Video All using the same prompt and image reference. The costs for each model generating a 15 sec video (in order): - $2.70 - $0.75 - $5.04 I think Seedance is a clear winner here. Kling totally missed the mark. And Grok is cool with the voiceover but the video part needs more work. Maybe another (more detailed) prompt? If anything, I'll probably play around more with Seedance to see whether I can make something nice with better storyline. Might try other models too so if anyone sees this and has recommendations, shout 🤙🏻

🎮 Tank Town is getting better! Few updates since my last post. Primarily around UX but also managed to get a new home for the game. Here's the juice: ✅ Movement forgiveness on wall corners - got feedback that when going into corners the game can be very rigid which makes the gameplay a little difficult. Now, the game nudges you through instead of catching on the brick edge. Same rule applied on the server for multiplayer. ✅ Rotating ring around the user tanks - when the fighting gets busy, now you can spot yourself instantly. ✅ Bush-hide marker - a "1P" / "2P" bubble now pops over the bush whenever you drive into one. Again, so you don't lose yourself in the heat of the battle. ✅ First time tutorial - added four quick overlays before level 1 mission starts. Covers the mission, controls, power-ups, quick tips. Essentially a forced Hot to Play for first time players (for their own good). ✅ New home - purchased a new domain - tanktown (dot) xyz. Old domain still works but redirects to the new one. ✅ As always - loads of small bugs fixed and code cleaned 😮‍💨 Game feels solid already but there are a few things I would like to explore. Some of the ideas include audio improvements and adding some more multiplayer features (matchmaking and rumble-like arena for up to 8 players to battle each other). Thoughts? Let me know what you think and whether you spot any bugs/annoyances/features missing. I'm all ears 👂 #vibejam

🎮 Tank Town is now cartoonified! Past 3 days were spent turning Tank Town into a pretty solid cartoon game. All visual surfaces, tanks, power-ups etc. have been remodelled and UX has been polished to go with the cartoon-style theme. I won't even bother adding everything that was done. Here's the summary: ✅ Rubber-hose cartoon makeover (surfaces, tanks, power-ups, HUD, menus... everything) ✅ Added 3D and cockpit views to the game + a minimap radar for these views. User can change these in settings as defaults or change mid-game. ✅ New power-up - speed boost + rebalanced power-up spawning ratios. ✅ Server cleanup and hardening for stability. ✅ Mobile experience optimisation for some browsers. ✅ Bugs bugs bugs fixed Given that it was a weekend spent with family, I think I managed to do quite a bit 😅 #vibejam 🎬 Demo of the mobile version below:
