@BendelowGreens Biggest issue with mid tier clubs is the tragedy of the commons allowing people with no clue how to run a country club ending up being on the board and making asinine decisions that affect the club for years to come. Country club business model isn’t the same as a regular company

Clubs should be vetting new members more than they are. High level clubs do a better job than mids. Becomes an issue when clubs just start taking anyone with a pulse and a check. It’s destroying culture and the very basis that’s allowed a club to survive multiple decades. Prospective members unfortunately need education to better understand club expectations and what makes a club a “club”. Particularly those clubs that have been around for a century or more or have an investment level initiation. There should be a strict process by the club that at minimum educates new members on: - Base knowledge of club history - Clearly defining the culture and “vibe” expected at the club. - Black and white rules and repercussions for violating culture and rules (Attire, phone policy, hats, etc) - A 10 year or more restriction on new members participating in club decisions. - Documented guidelines/rules provided to all guests and host members. - Understanding long term capital plans built around the club’s culture. - Expectation of course care (i.e..always fixing 2 ball marks, sand/divot repair, bunkers raking, range use, etc). - Understanding basic golf IQ…it’s a thing and few people have it. Looking forward to the pretentious, stuffy, and elitist comments. That clubs need to evolve with the times. That response validates exactly why clubs need this process.

So if you have a white only event I’m sure that’s racism, but you can have an event for only minorities and that’s acceptable? Makes zero sense

@Geomodman @drakesmith__ Yeah just like there’s some awesome guys that work in finance and some that have major substance abuse issues. And those two groups have pretty big overlap! At high end clubs most caddies aren’t retards

@drakesmith__ Yeah, and your average club caddy is not the same as a tour caddy. There are some really awesome club caddies, and some that have major substance abuse issues. And those two groups have pretty big overlap!

I won't out the course but here is aspect of Country Clubs that I think needs to change. I had a player playing in the US Amateur. We hired the clubs best caddie to help us navigate the course in practice rounds. Guy was great. With our USGA credentials on first day at the club we asked him after the round if he would like to join us for lunch. He couldn't, he wasn't allowed in the clubhouse and we were able to go in and out freely. I hate this about higher end golf. Good caddies are assets and should be treated as such. Please retweet this if you agree.

@Mike_kim714 @acaseofthegolf1 Yeah you’re naive. The tour lost 460 million last year and revenue decreased by 720 million year to year. He’s correct it isn’t sustainable if trying to break even. That’s what the majority of LIV critics aren’t able to comprehend is the tour loses more without an endless well.

@acaseofthegolf1 Tournament to tournament is different than the entire model. This exact question was brought up during one of the player meetings I was at and the answer was it is sustainable. Maybe I’m being naive to but that’s the answer all the players got.

For 4 years both LIV and the PGA Tour have been on paths that were unsustainable. We cover the process that led to the LIV tweet, the response and what I would do differently. And news from the Tour make it’s seems like golf is resetting. Links below.

@acaseofthegolf1 To think it’s due to ongoing Middle East conflict goes to show how clueless the average Joe is to the reality that 10 billion dollars is irrelevant to the PIF.

@acaseofthegolf1 Also, unless the sources aren’t PGA Tour loyalists I’d take your sources no matter how high up with a grain of salt. I 1000% guaranteed that the PIF will be involved in the future of not only the DP World Tour but more than likely back the PGA Tour because on paper they are broke

Ive heard from multiple sources that a bombshell announcement on LIVs future is imminent. We don't give out gambling advice but If your’re a prediction market type person I would bet the under of whatever they have posted.

@acaseofthegolf1 I’m guessing you have me muted due to never acknowledging anything I’ve ever said to you but just a heads up for all the PGA Tour loyalists that are oblivious to reality, the Tour loses more money a year than LIV golf and that’s a hidden but known fact!

3) Scottie has every right to say the set up change from Thursday to Friday was complete BS because it was. The data and analytics at disposable to dictate and favor certain players is undeniable. 4) it’s still the best tournament of the year and created a great product/champ

Final Masters thoughts: 1) tournament set up committee tried to reinvent the wheel and failed. No reason it should be that soft with the weather all 4 days 2) TV broadcast is pathetic on only showing about 8 players and the random people they show are usually 5-10 min late

Who wants to let him know the reality of the situation
Trevor Sheatz@TrevorSheatz

My wife was formerly promiscuous. I was a virgin. She was then radically born-again. Committed to church, evangelized constantly, Puritan books in her bedroom, prayer journals, grief over past sexual sin, etc. We got to know each other well for over a year, dated for four months, engaged for two and a half, and didn't sin sexually with one another. Our first kiss with each other was at the altar on our wedding day (reaction pic attached!). We've been married for over five years now, and she's been the most wonderful and godly wife, mother to our three children, and homemaker you could imagine. She's more pure than most virgins, as biblical purity has less to with past sins (though they certainly matter) and more to do with one's current posture of the heart and daily decisions to honor the Lord (Matt. 5:8). We're far too quick to forget the story of the woman labeled as a known "sinner" (likely a prostitute) in Luke 7:36-50 who was washing Jesus' feet with her tears while kissing them too. The Pharisees were shocked that Jesus let a public sinner do this. Jesus responded with a parable about debts being forgiven and ended with this powerful conclusion: "Her many sins have been forgiven; that’s why she loved much. But the one who is forgiven little, loves little" (Luke 7:47). Everyone seems to highlight the benefits of virginity, and it certainly is a blessing. But we forget to highlight the benefits of being forgiven much as well. My wife knows the depths of Jesus' forgiveness more than most people, enabling her to more easily live out a life of passionate love for her Savior. A woman or man's past sexual sin matters. But what matters far more when it comes to deciding who to marry is if the person is truly born again, if their repentance is real, if they truly have a heart for Christ, if they truly follow Jesus and obey his commands. "God has chosen what is foolish in the world to shame the wise, and God has chosen what is weak in the world to shame the strong. God has chosen what is insignificant and despised in the world — what is viewed as nothing — to bring to nothing what is viewed as something, so that no one may boast in his presence. It is from him that you are in Christ Jesus, who became wisdom from God for us — our righteousness, sanctification, and redemption, — in order that, as it is written: 'Let the one who boasts, boast in the Lord.'" (1 Cor. 1:27-31) "Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has passed away, and see, the new has come!" (2 Cor. 5:17)
