@theoncopt True that. In my humble opinion, we, as PTs need to be able to treat the full spectrum of diseases. Cancer is so prevalent, it shocks me that anyone would push back and say, “ I don’t treat people with cancer”. Ahhhh, Yup you do! (You just didn’t dig deep enough into that PMH! )

You can truly work with oncology patients in every setting. It doesn’t have to be in an “oncology-specific setting” As @KCarrollPT says, it’s not if you’ll see a person with cancer, but when.

When applying for a PT job, I think you should ask how long the previous person was there & why they left. For example, three PTs in less than 2 years is very telling.
