The news from Alexander Dennis, which will result in the loss of 115 jobs and the closure of the Falkirk site, is devastating. And the SNP are to blame. Just last week, the SNP Scottish Government announced that more than half the buses being paid for with 45 million pounds of your tax money will be bought from China. The SNP would rather spend taxpayers' money buying buses from China than supporting Scottish workers. Shameful.

Day 1 as Energy Minister Grangemouth was the first thing in my in-tray. The Tories had done absolutely nothing despite knowing the issues. No plan. Not even a call to the Scottish Government. In 13 years not a single meeting with all of the UK's refineries. A shameful record.

Britain smashed more renewable energy records last year. Wind delivered 30% of electricity, solar generation grew by 37% & UK emissions fell to 54% of 1990 levels. More clean power means more control over our energy security, bills and our future.

From today, energy bills will come down. Labour took the decision to bring down bills by asking the wealthiest to pay a little more. That’s the fair thing to do. We know there’s more to do to tackle the cost of living but this is an important step.

These are shocking figures. At the same time, fraudsters keep exploiting the system. That is unfair to hardworking taxpayers and to those who genuinely need support. The @ScotTories have a different plan: a fairer system that supports people who genuinely need help, while getting more people into work. On May 7th, you have the chance to vote for change.
