"By trying to communicate that I love and am proud of my people in my words and behaviors as much as possible, I remind them that I notice their efforts, they are valuable to me and our organization, and we all appreciate their contributions."
Josh Hartzell, MD, MS-HPEd@joshuadhartzell

Even a paper-based, tabletop MASCAL simulation can be very educational—and QUITE emotionally activating— with such great faculty and enough cases! #pccm @KFabsMD @WRNMMC_DHA @USUhealthsci

@thelvaneir @mereditholsenMD @williamkellymd You've got to find the balance where adult learners still want to show up and learn. I'd err on being too soft. You can always get tougher but rebuilding a broken learning climate (like trust) takes so much more work and time.

There’s reading about radiology and then there is standing up and committing to a differential diagnosis of an unknown case. Is that appropriate activation for learners? Too much or not enough? Having an interesting discussion now with @KFabsMD @thelvaneir & others #pccm

@GallodeMoraesMD @Ndulue8 @NEJM It took a few different searches for me to find this one. I ended up finding this atlas from JAAD which has a search bar

What is #MilitaryMatch? It's the day when fourth year military medical students find out what residency program they join to start their journey as a physician. And it's tomorrow!!!

1/14 🤔Why does it take weeks for the radiographic evidence of pneumonia to clear? Patients often feel better DAYS after starting treatment. And yet the chest x-ray takes WEEKS to return to normal. Why the delay?

Reminded of this quote from @BreneBrown #DareToLead “In the past jobs were about muscles, now they’re about brains, but in future they’ll be about the heart.” Minouche Shafik, the London School of Economics’ Director--- Leadership starts with caring! @DrMelanie_MD @KFabsMD
