Sorry, I had to share this with someone and you’re the only one around right now: after TWO DAYS of plugging/unplugging, turning it on and off again, and going through EVERYTHING in ‘settings’, I have JUST GOT MY PRINTER TO PRINT AGAIN!🍾🍾🍾 (Not a clue what did it but hey!)

@JohnCleese Used to respect you. But don’t think you understand Islam or speak for the majority of the British.

Labour is quietly preparing to surrender Britain’s hard-won independence back to Brussels. We didn’t spend years winning regulatory freedom just to become a rule-taker again. 250 years after Adam Smith, their 'EU reset' is nothing more than a managed decline 🧵👇

@KGLION @anon_opin So…bags, then. Not sure why so many people are making out that rucksacks were some sort of privilege. Everyone took a bag to school. Often these were rucksacks in my day. They were probably the cheap option if anything.

The jumpers for goalposts thing is wrong. You used your rucksack and coat, not your jumper.

@Nigel_Farage Never forget that Farage supported the election of a USA president who anybody with half a brain knew would cause extreme harm to British interests. I believe he fully understood this and judged he could benefit from the consequences.

@BraddrofliT Rather depends who the next president is. Wouldn’t see Vance rebuilding many alliances.

Here’s the part no one is saying: The next president won’t get a real first term. They’ll inherit a repair job. Rebuilding alliances. Restoring credibility. Undoing damage. An entire presidency spent fixing what Trump broke.

I received a phone call from a rival company asking for a character reference for one of my staff. The employee in question is the worst in my team. Incompetent, always late, and not the nicest of people. So of course I gave the most glowing reference I've ever given.

@fesshole What makes this story almost certainly untrue is the suggestion she didn’t have a kettle.

I was 18 at a staff Xmas party, and an older staff member asked me back to her room for "coffee". She went up first for a shower. I noticed no kettle in her room. Went back to my room to bring a kettle. She looked at me, and we had coffee. Years later, it clicked.

@fesshole Most properly run projects have random names, or names that probably mean something to somebody no longer involved.

I created a work Excel file to help me keep track of new web pages. I called it 'The Alan Parsons Publishing Project' referencing a 70s band. My boss randomly shared it across the entire project team. Now senior staff ask for updates on 'the Parsons project' with no idea why.

Unbelievable hypocrisy by London’s Mayor Just last week he was supporting a mysogynistic act of domination by members of the Islamic faith in a public tourism spot, instead of in a normal place of worship
Sadiq Khan@SadiqKhan

This is a cowardly attack on the Jewish community. I am in close contact with the police who are stepping up patrols in the area, and I urge anyone with information to come forward. Londoners will never be cowed by this kind of hatred and intimidation.

Watching the Diveathon in the cup final, just makes my statement about the #ITFC #Millwall ever stronger. Due to #VAR everyone diving hoping for fouls/cards and the game is very stop start Yesterday was a belter
Karl Bates BBCRadio 📻⚽️@Karl_Bates

#ITFC & #Millwall play out a pulsating and entertaining match which ends up honours even & everyone exhausted at full time. 🚜 should have been out of sight by HT but as usual AN a tactical tweak/sub & 🦁 different animal 2nd half, & a lick of paint denied them all 3pts. Thought the referee was excellent today allowing the game to flow & not making it all about himself, great to see Oh, & a final thought, this game would NEVER have been as good as it was if #VAR was involved, it would have drained the life & soul out of it, & that’s why you don’t see games like this in the Prem MOM Coburn, boys on 🔥 I’m still trying to work out how Patterson made that save 🫤
