This is a great feat given its diversity in geography, language, culture and traditions. There is less violence in India than in nearly any other corner of the world. I had a compelling discussion with Dr. Salvatore Babones, author of “Dharma Democracy”. He unpacks how global rankings—especially on democracy, religious freedom, and media—are often shaped by anti Indian bias. I emphasized how the strong cultural and moral foundation of the hindu dharma has helped shape Indian views on non violence, Mother Earth and statecraft.
