@NelsonHavi Unfortunately there is gross misrepresentation in this statement. For the record, there are only 41 shortlisted Magistrates in that list, but we join in your prayer and wishes that they should be 65 and above from the Magistracy.

117 Magistrates were promoted in September, 2025. 65 out of the 100 shortlisted candidates for Judge of the High Court are these Magistrates. Ideally, JSC will again be recruiting Magistrates after promoting them to Judges. The problem is the clueless Chair, C J Martha Koome and the corrupt LSK Representatives.

JSC notified of promotions of Magistrates the other day. This was supposed to be a recruitment of Judges and not another promotion of Magistrates. We have useless LSK Representatives to the JSC. Extremely disappointing.

JSC RECRUITMENT OF JUDGES OF THE HIGH COURT On 9th June 2025, the Judicial Service Commission issued a public notice inviting applications from qualified persons for 20 vacancies in the Office of Judge of the High Court of Kenya. By the close of the application window on 7th July 2025, the Commission had received 377 applications. Upon reviewing all submissions for completeness and compliance with the eligibility criteria outlined in the advertisement, the Commission shortlisted 100 candidates for further consideration for appointment as Judges of the High Court.
