Two weeks ago, the Judicial Qualifications Commission confidentially notified the Democrat backed candidates for the Supreme Court - Jen Jordan and Miracle Rankin - that it was investigating them for violations of the Georgia Code of Judicial Conduct. The Democrats immediately filed a secret lawsuit against the JQC to stop the investigation. The lawsuit was assigned to Stacey Abrams's sister, a federal judge appointed by President Obama. Judge Abrams, again in secret, blocked the JQC from investigating. The Democrats continued their violations with impunity. Over the weekend, the Court of Appeals overruled Abrams. Today - one day before the election, after nearly a million Georgians have already voted - the Judicial Qualifications Commission issued a statement that Jordan and Rankin have engaged in multiple, serial violations of the Code. This is a stunning abuse of the legal process by lawyers who are seeking to become judges - impartial dispensers of justice. VOTE FOR THE STATEWIDE JUDICIAL INCUMBENTS IN GEORGIA.

If an attorney claims they represented J6 defendants when soliciting to handle your claim, ask them for the name of their clients, contact info, and the time period. There were MANY Attorneys who showed up early and collected big retainers -- only later to bail out and force their clients to accept attorneys appointed by the Court. They know who they are. If the attorney was only involved representing J6 defendants in 2021 and 2022, there's a reason they high-tailed it out of town and left their clients high and dry. Contact their J6 clients and get the real story of whether they helped or not -- OR, more likely, they got the retainer money up front and looked for the earliest possible time to exit without doing much work. It happened. I took over more than a couple dozen cases where that was the scenario.

Why can a person not be allowed to see their dog when it’s going to court, he wasn’t accused of animal abuse, that would be a different story, this case really upsets me

A couple years back, I woke up to an abandoned Kia still running and parked on our street when we lived in East Austin. Our security camera footage showed what looked like 10-12 teens pulling up at 4am in three stolen cars, dumping everything from the cars into the street, looking into parked cars (ours included), partying a bit, then driving off. The next morning I called the cops to get the Kia towed. When the officer showed up, I showed him the video and asked if he had an idea of who'd done it. Without hesitation he said yes. It’s the same group of teens who keep breaking into and stealing cars. Every time they get arrested, the DA's office drops the charges and lets them go. Austin could solve a big chunk of its crime problem if it got rid of Jose Garza and just prosecuted crime.

Re the announcement of a $1.776 billion compensation fund for victims of weaponization by the Biden DOJ. Much remains to be understood as the details are not yet known. But in my opinion, there is no "heavy lifting" to be done by any attorneys on behalf of claimants. For well over a year there have been attorneys who played NO ROLE in defending J6 defendants running around the country seeking to get them to sign up for "Class Action" lawsuits that never had a chance of prevailing in a court of law. The only realistic possibility of compensation was a willingness of the Trump Admin to agree to such via some mechanism outside the courts. Don't believe any attorney who tells you they are responsible for this development -- this has happened within the confines of the Administration. There is no need to sign contracts with attorneys that pledge to them a chunk of what you might be entitled to for you to have your claim considered. Contingent fee agreements NORMALLY account for risk the attorney assumes that a case will produce no compensation -- no liability or damages are established, the client gets nothing and the attorney gets nothing. In that situation the attorney is at risk, and the % in the agreement is the "deal" for the attorney to take that risk on your behalf at no expense to you. There appears to be no risk in the concept of the victim compensation fund as announced. As a result, a contingent fee arrangement is simply a give-away to the attorney who isn't required to perform in order to receive it. I'm in contact with my former clients about this issue.
