What an experience! MLK Chorus sang America the Beautiful and Oh Canada on the field before the Albany Firewolves game at the MVP Arena. Beyoncé better book us early to open for her because these kids are stars!! #MLK stronger together

Tonight at 7pm on the field at the MVP Arena in Albany, NY, our very own MLK Chorus will be performing two songs at the start of the Albany Firewolves lacrosse game. Come check us out!!

It’s been a while since I posted but it hasn’t been uneventful!! Let’s start with our Snacks with Santa event yesterday where we welcomed over 185 families with close to 300 children receiving pictures and presents with Santa(s)!

Out of the Darkness Walk 2024 at Central Park today at 1:00pm. Come join Team Lion’s Pride (MLK staff and families) and walk with us to support suicide prevention🦁🦁🦁

MLK Movie Night was a success!! And the fresh produce truck stopped by too!! Thank you to everyone who came out and supported this event!! 🦁StrongerTogether🦁

MLK Outdoor Movie Theater Night is finally here!! So bring your lawn chairs, bring your blankets, and get ready to enjoy a showing of Coco, in honor of Hispanic Heritage Month! Gates open at 6:15pm-movie starts at 6:30pm. PTO is selling refreshments for $2 each. Can’t wait!

Kindergarten Graduation 2024- such great memories were made today. I love the tradition of having every child tell what they want to be when they grow up into the mic. Lots of teachers and policemen/women. My favorites were “a dad”, “just like my mom”, and “I wanna be a dog.”

It’s the season of “Moving Up Ceremonies”! I didn’t get pictures of the 5th grade celebration Thursday but this is the Pre-K ceremony. This was extra special to me because Ms. Sanders is here with her beautiful daughter. Approx. 20 years ago, Nikki was in my 4th grade class!
