@KObregonWriter YOU ARE NOT FAILING. Mom passed with dementia 1.5 years ago. Dad with Parkinson’s 6 months ago. Very rough few years. Sister and I were caretakers through a lot of it. Feel free to reach out if you have a rough day or with specific prayer requests.

I’m grateful for my life and everything in it, but there are days I feel I’m going to lose my mind caretaking for my mom with dementia. Prayers are appreciated for my mental health.

But remember, God never asked you to be strong all the time… He asked you to depend on His strength. It’s okay to have moments when you feel weary. It’s okay to admit you’re not okay. Strength in the Kingdom isn’t pretending — it’s trusting. You’ll be fine. You’ll look back on this and amazingly & gratefully recognize the divine development that was happening in you while you were sacrificing so much for a mother from whom you’ve received questionable treatment through the years.
