Hosted a team from the Commission of Revenue Allocation (CRA) who are on an official visit to Kisii County to assess the impact of devolution on service delivery. Led by Commissioner Hadija Juma and CEO James Katule,the team from CRA is out to evaluate how devolution and funds allocated for various functions including agriculture, education, urban development, roads,water and health have improved the lives of the citizens and the attendant challenges. The CRA team held an engagement with county officials with a view to establishing a mechanism towards proper funding for the sake of efficiency in project implementation and service delivery. I appreciate the move by CRA in reaching out to the grassroots so as to understand the unique needs of the counties to help guide and facilitate in revenue allocation from an informed point of view.
