@MumbrianSpinner Oh my god it was the absolute best. I remember one evening jn the beer tent the flaming arseholes performed. Was basically two men with paper clamped between their bum cheeks which was set on fire and whoever managed to shimmy up the big internal poles before was the winner!

But, my dad has repeatedly dumped me off for extended periods of time when he's had better things to do. So, no. He doesn't get to be in my life. I don't need to deal with that on repeat

My dad cheated on my step mum of 20 years and she found the strength to leave him. I don't speak to my dad now because I've stayed in touch with her and he doesn't like it. However, I'm so glad we're still in touch, especially when she sends me random messages like this ❤️

@livmattock I'm 29 days sober today. If I can do it ANYONE can. Best advice I can give you is find yourself a sober buddy. You are amazing. Don't forget it.

My partner has lived here for 4 years. I can count on one hand the amount of times he's cooked, he expects head pats when he washes a plate, and he fell apart when I was in hospital for 15 days. The cooking and cleaning fairy is exhausted, and i'm making silent plans to leave him

4. In My Dreams I Hold a Knife by Ashley Winstead. Whodunnit with a dual timeline: at university (when someone was murdered) and ten years later at a reunion (when the truth comes out). Full cast of interesting, well-rounded characters. Kept me guessing. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

The BBC/Netflix show, however, was very disappointing. They made the defendant much more posh and they changed the story loads. Felt like they tried to make it more appealing to white people maybe? So white folk can feel sorry for the poor falsely accused black guy?
