MUSK PAY TIED TO MARS COLONY AND SPACE DATA CENTERS SpaceX has tied Elon Musk’s pay to bold goals like building a Mars colony and space-based data centers. He could earn massive share awards if the company hits a $7.5 trillion valuation and establishes a million-person presence on Mars, along with major computing capacity in orbit. He gets nothing unless these targets are met and currently earns only a minimal salary. The plan is highly unusual and may create tension with Tesla, as both companies compete for his attention.

@grok you are lacklustre today. What I expected you to answer: 1.) At 400 KM, the "heart" of LEO, there is insufficient atmosphere to generate atmospheric EMP for a AOE kill. 2.) But X rays can still penetrate LEO satellites and kill them with system generated EMPs. Please elaborate with these 2 starting points.

Nuclear EMP forms when a nuke's gamma rays hit air molecules via Compton scattering, ejecting electrons that generate a massive electromagnetic pulse. In space (vacuum), it's mostly prompt X-ray/gamma/neutron radiation plus artificial radiation belts that fry unhardened electronics. Yes, this can instantly disable LEO sats (a 1 MT burst at ~400 km risks ~2,200 immediate kills + thousands more over weeks). GEO sats are far less vulnerable to a LEO detonation—effects drop off sharply with distance and don't reach GEO significantly. A direct GEO burst would be localized to nearby sats only.

The US has no defence against a nuclear detonation in space, has the most to lose from it, and a 1 MT warhead in LEO can instantly destroy 2200+ satellites then disable 10,000+ within weeks - no radiation/debris cleanup exists. @GarretsonPeter reports: afpc.org/uploads/docume…

Does he even know how many decades it'll take to at least have one person, let alone ONE MILLION people, set foot on Mars?? We are aware that this is a one-way ticket as well? Also, pretty sure Mars needs to be terraformed first to sustain life for a million people, and this process is estimated to take anywhere from hundreds to over 100,000 years, yeah I don't think Elon is gonna get that ever unless he implants his mind into an Optimus robot and we have a real life Chappie in our midst, or he's a reptilian and can live hundreds of years.

While we have dueling blockades shutting down the SOH, this morning we've added dueling narratives: at 9:29am Eastern President Trump announces Iran is in a "state of collapse," and then 57 min later, Iran announces that the IRGC controls one bank of SOH and the Iranian Army the other. You decide who you want to believe, President Trump or your eyes, bc the bottom line is the Strait is still closed, and Iran is still in control of deciding who gets through.

Myths the data buried but the gym still believes:⠀ ⠀ "You need 10 to 20 sets per muscle per week"⠀ Research on equated volume shows 4 to 6 hard sets produces equivalent growth. The rest is fatigue you're paying for with nothing in return.⠀ ⠀ "Slow eccentrics build muscle"⠀ Your muscle is 30 to 50% stronger on the way down than the way up. There is no tempo at which the lowering phase becomes a meaningful challenge. Two seconds down, then drive.⠀ ⠀ "Failure on every set"⠀ Failure on the final set of an exercise is sufficient. Hitting failure on every set generates systemic fatigue that tanks the rest of the session and impairs recovery for days.⠀ ⠀ "Confuse the muscle"⠀ Muscles do not get confused. They respond to mechanical tension near failure and progressive overload over time. Constantly switching exercises just resets the skill acquisition and hides the fact that nothing is getting heavier.⠀ ⠀ "Eat every two hours"⠀ Muscle protein synthesis is not a tap you keep open by grazing. Total daily protein is what matters. Meal timing is almost entirely irrelevant.⠀ ⠀ "Carbs around the workout"⠀ Unless you are an endurance athlete depleting glycogen over hours, your glycogen stores are not the limiting factor in a 45-minute resistance session. This one exists to sell intra-workout products.⠀ ⠀ "The pump is the goal"⠀ The pump is blood pooling in the muscle from repetitive contractions. It has no meaningful relationship to hypertrophy. It feels significant. It is not.⠀ ⠀ All of it still printed on the back of a supplement tub.⠀ ⠀ The marketing budget is the only thing being built.

Do not quit your day job to become a content creator. It is very difficult and there are many risks. Only a few people will succeed. Let me tell you my story. I started making videos successfully in 2019. Mostly about Tesla and SpaceX and other tech topics. At my peak, I made $8500 in one month. I got into the Tesla space early and I was successful for a while. Eventually others flooded in. There are probably 10 times as many content creators in the Tesla space as there were when I started. The audience is not much bigger than it was. Stephen Mark Ryan is a great example. We have very similar views. He’s better than me at this and he works harder. I thought about copying what he was doing, but realized I needed to be myself. I’ve seen many content creators come and go in the Tesla space and related topics. Tesla Economist is a great example. He copied Steven. But he didn’t understand. He was chasing algorithms and he caught STEDs. There are so many ways that you can fail: Competition Demonetization Censorship Losing touch Burn out STEDs I didn’t have a day job to quit. I never tried very hard to make money or to grow my channel as much as others do. Tesla’s success made me financially independent. I create content about what I’m excited about. This is key to avoiding burnout. Chasing algorithms is a fool’s errand. If you’re looking for a way of being productive in today’s world, dig into AI and start building something meaningful. Let’s be careful out there.

🇯🇵 Kimi Onoda, who is Japan's Minister of Economic Security, has a strong message for woke leftists in other countries who complain about Japanese anime not being "woke": "Too bad for you". She explains that "This is Japan! We will do whatever we want". I agree with her completely. The anime and video game industry in Japan is under a lot of pressure from woke leftists who want to incorporate annoying leftist trends into our anime. We must protect our media and our industries from this.

@eshanbuilds @SamaHoole Not a problem for me. I'll share the equipment, taking turns on it. Usually, they just wait for me to finish and just go off doing another exercise in the meantime.

honestly the biggest reason people cut rest periods short is social anxiety, not impatience. sitting on a bench for 3 minutes in a crowded gym while someone waits feels rude. so you rush the set, give up the equipment, and move on. gym culture accidentally selected for short rest by making equipment access competitive. the person resting "too long" gets glared at. the person supersetting through 6 exercises gets admired. the optimal training stimulus requires behavior that looks lazy to everyone watching. that's a brutal incentive mismatch

The most productive thing you can do in the gym is to learn how to sit down and avoid the urge to lift anything for two minutes. The gym rewards the feeling of busyness. Always moving, always filling the rest period with something. It feels like discipline. It is quietly dismantling your session from the second set onward. Every set accumulates fatigue. Central fatigue, the nervous system's ability to recruit motor units, degrades with each one, and the only thing that dissipates it is time. Cut the rest short and the next set starts already behind. The one after that is worse. By the end of the session you're producing a fraction of the output you had at the start, grinding through reps that feel hard without being particularly useful. Most people feel uncomfortable with stillness between sets. So they fill it. And every subsequent set pays for it. Two minutes of doing nothing is often worth considerably more than two minutes of something.

A comprehensive troubleshooting guide for new carnivores, compiled over five years of answering the same questions: Tired in the afternoon? Add more butter. Hungry between meals? Add more butter. Headache in the first week? Add more butter. Also salt. But mostly butter. Constipated? Add more butter. Loose stools? Add more butter. Craving carbs? Add more butter. Cold hands and feet? Add more butter. Dry skin? Add more butter. On the steak, not the skin. Poor sleep? Add more butter. Bad mood? Add more butter. Gym performance dropping? Add more butter. Gym performance fine but you just want it to be better? Add more butter. Wife complaining about the butter? More butter. Different problem, same answer. Doctor concerned about your LDL? The doctor is not the patient. Add more butter. Keto flu? Butter. Plateau on the scales? Butter. Hair feeling dry? You're not eating enough fat. Add butter. Feeling bored of the food? The food is not the problem. The amount of butter on the food is the problem. Friend telling you this can't be healthy? Offer them some butter. Watch their face. Thinking about quitting because it's not working? You are almost certainly eating lean meat with insufficient butter. Add butter. Report back in a week. Already added butter and still have the problem? Add more butter. There is no problem in the first thirty days of carnivore that cannot be solved, improved, or entirely dissolved by the addition of more butter. I am aware this sounds like a joke. It is not. It is the single most common mistake new carnivores make, and the single most effective intervention anyone has ever suggested on this account. The fat is the mechanism. The butter is the fat in its most accessible, most concentrated, most delicious form. Add more butter. That's the tweet. That's the whole guide. Five years of experience compressed into two words. Save it.

@KTlge2 @chamath You could try looking at this empirically. Where are the zero-tax countries? Have fun in Saudi Arabia. Inasmuch as they are free and democratic, they tend to be tax havens (e.g., Cayman Islands). IOTW, non-scalable.

On page twenty-six of “The Billionaire Tax” proposal in California, it explains how the state legislature can convert from a Billionaire Tax to an Everyone Tax without voter approval. They can also adjust the tax to be a yearly tax, not just one time…again, without your approval. Intelligence test for you: if this was meant to just target Billionaires, why did they write this in?
Chamath Palihapitiya@chamath

The Billionaire Tax is actually an Everyone Tax. The Billionaire Tax is a new tax proposal written by four professors who don't believe in the American dream. Some of them aren’t even American…go figure. Despite its name, it applies to every California resident who currently has assets or ever will. The creators named it the Billionaire Tax so you would get into a froth andwouldn't look closely at what it actually does to you. On page twenty-six, it explains how the government can convert to an Everyone Tax without voter approval. They can also adjust the tax to be a yearly tax, not just one time…again, without your approval. Here's how the tax would work: As a voter, you're being asked to approve a tax that would require you to: 1. list all your assets and the value of each, then submit them to the California Franchise Tax Board. 2. authorize the tax board to appraise your assets and confirm the value of each. 3. pay a penalty of up to forty percent of your tax bill if the board determines your reported value was too low in their opinion. 4. allow the tax board to subpoena your financial records from every one of your financial institutions for auditing. This Everyone Tax runs 34 pages of shifty language describing how the government plans to take your assets. Read the fine print and decide for yourself. If this were truly a billionaire tax, it would be 3 pages. It’s 34 pages so that it can create the mechanisms to steal from all of you.

Why would you repeat and spread guidance you knew was false? I don't think it was a obvious to you as you're pretending it was. There's nothing wrong with being frustrated at misses like this. You're engaging in friendly fire when you perceive others as disloyal, which is a problem, and accountability isn't even disloyalty.

2026 Investor: Man I'm so PISSED! Fucking $TSLA! 2025: Why, what happened? Did protestors try and bomb another Tesla showroom? 2026: No, even worse! There are only 19 Robotaxis! 2025: ... You guys have Robotaxis?!? Someone must be supervising though right.... 2026: No, 19 is the number of unsupervised Robotaxis in Austin, Houston and Dallas. Including the supervised cars there's around 600 2025: Wow, we don't have even one robotaxi yet. Supervised or unsupervised. So what are you so upset about? 2026: The stock price! 2025: Ooof yeah, I know. Stock just hit $220 and Tim Walz celebrated it publicly. Has it gone even lower? 2026: Yeah, it's gone down all the way to $400! God damnit Elon, you idiot! I'm a brilliant investor, the only reason I keep losing money trading is because of Elon. 2025: So you're telling me the stock is almost double what it's trading at today and you guys have actual driverless Teslas Robotaxis? 2026: Yeah, it sucks. Massive disappointment!
