@WuandeD70422 @MacCatmee @FordJohnathan5 If he is really dead then there should be no problem with the governor calling for a special election...you may want to ask him why he hasn't done that.

BREAKINGNEWS Governor of Kentucky Andy Beshear believes the Kentucky Constitution gives him full authority to appoint US Senator to replace Mitch McConnell and he's willing to test that theory. 🚨

I can almost guarantee you that behind closed doors the KY Speaker of the House and Senate Majority leader had a little chat with Lil Andy basically stating "we got you by the balls". They had to have done that a few years ago when the supermajority was delivered. Why do you think the Governor has been a lame duck for the past few years? He is very far left and hasn't been governing like that.

Not with current law...he can't appoint anyone. Now the law prior to 2024 he would be able to appoint only someone from the same party as the person being replaced from a list of 3 from a state executive committee. The way the law is now it is theoretical that a Democrat could win a special election for interim. Now you see why he is chomping at the bit to call for a special election. Massie running as an independent would split the vote and it would be much more probable for a democrat to win. No Democrat has won a senate seat since 1992.

Not sure Vance wants it right now with his young family. I'm sure he is happy as VP and I think a Rubio/Vance ticket would be better especially for the Hispanic vote. Marco is very experienced as a statesman and Vance is still new, but Vance will have 4 years under his belt as VP anyways. Solid ticket that's for sure.

🔷I don't know of many Republicans who treat Vance 2028 as inevitable. At this point, most seem to want Marco Rubio to succeed Trump. Do you agree?

@KYPatriotRE @leahfiles How many court cases again? But what you're saying is if Obama had sold pardons to drug dealers and fraudsters you would have had issues with it but you don't because it's Trump? Definitely a cult

We don't have a national popular vote winner. That number has no bearing at all. If you take the winning margins of the following states AZ Biden +10,457 out of 3.5 million votes, GA Biden +11,779 out of 5 million votes and WI Biden +20,682 out of 3.3 million votes for a total of 37 electoral votes given to Biden because of only 42,918 votes. Biden got 306 EV and if Trump got those then Biden would not have been POTUS. 306-37 = 269. 270 to win. Now do you see why if even a small number of votes are fraudulent then that could drastically change the outcome. Football analogy...you don't win the game by how many yards gained (national popular vote)...you win by how many points scored (states won)

@KYPatriotRE @leahfiles 81 million vs. 74 million. How did you get 40k? Besides, everybody knows if the Dems win the election was legit, if they lose it's rigged. What?! 😂🤡

You do realize that Biden won by approximately 40,000 votes if you take the 3 states that Biden "won" which if flipped would have handed the election to Trump. So approximately 40,000 votes out of 150 million cast votes is infinitesimally small and was right to be disputed. This discussion has nothing to do with the constitutionally sound appointment of the senator's sister to his seat.

@Jeff_Lusardo @leahfiles You mean the 2020 election claims he lost one after the other that you mentioned my "side" doesn't want proper checks on? Here we go with the feigning ignorance cause he has no answer! 😂🤡

@lsferguson Your average good standing citizen is part of the "militia"..."well regulated" means well trained...in modern terminology it would say...a well trained citizen.

Governors routinely appoint interim senators to fill vacancies until the next election and this is constitutional and standard, not feudalism or serfdom. Lindsey Graham's sister was picked as a temporary placeholder for SC; voters still decide the permanent replacement in the upcoming primary/election. Family ties raise valid nepotism questions, but the seat isn't inherited...it's a temporary bridge to the ballot box.

@WeWillBeFree24 @Lori107416667 The founders would frown at and mock that statement. They wanted everyday people to temporarily serve in government. Not career "professional" politicians. I'll bet since she was so close to her brother she knows more about senate operations than most of us.

If it doesn't say it in the constitution then it's fair game. I mean we have had Presidents whom their sons were elected to President after. Make sense for a spouse or relative to closely know the intent of the recently deceased person and what they would have wanted. Both parties have done it and I personally don't have a problem with it. It's temporary and a quick fix instead of trying to do thorough vetting for someone else.

Well then Governor Beshear better get proof of life...he has until early August before he can do anything then we will be too close for special election because it's too close to the general election. Senate can survive with members missing...we have 100 of them. Especially until new congress is placed on January 3, 2027

It is for six months. Not like Mitch was voting for our agenda anyway. If it exposes them trying to cover up the death or total incapacitation of a Senator, it is totally worth it for the entire country. If the governor has any success he will get his special election to fill the spot until January. Mitch was already leaving so the GOP already has their new RINO to replace him for the next 30 year entrenched swamp creature. A special election has a chance to throw a wrench into there plans. They are scared Massie will win a special election. I don't even like Massie but hate the uni party more.

US Constitution EXPLICITLY state the requirements for senator are: 1. Aged 30 or above, 2. Must be a US Citizen for at least 9 years and 3. Must be a resident of the state representing. Many people that have died while serving in the house or senate were filled by family members/spouses. Mel Carnahan a Democrat from Missouri was replaced by his wife when he died in a plane crash in October 2000...She served until 2002.

@Jeff_Lusardo @sasha_latypova Oh, really? 1) To what requirements are you referring? Please list them. 2) If she does 'meet the requirements', in your mind does that make it okay to install her in a Senate position?
