If you're confused about what you're seeing with the Trump administration lately, I'll explain. It's really simple. The left and eGOP realize they have Trump mostly contained since he won't actually challenge the authority of the courts. Since he doesn't have the balls to pull an Andrew Jackson and tell them to pound sand, they know he's pretty well hemmed in. Notice how his domestic agenda is pretty much nonexistent these days? This is why. He's exhausted the reach of executive orders without standing up to the courts. Even if he tries to issue one or work around them, the left has a lawyer filing a lawsuit within hours. The eGOP House won't do much for him, and the eGOP Senate won't even let him make recess appointments, much less pass his agenda items. So Trump's domestic agenda is effectively dead. Where the president has near-unilateral and ultimate authority, though, is in foreign affairs. That's why you see these big moves in Venezuela, war with Iran, etc. The left and eGOP realize they can't effectively contain him there until they can impeach him, which they're surely planning to do after the midterms. Effectively, what you're looking at is a lame duck president. His own party won't pass his agenda or confirm his appointees. The left is eagerly waiting until they can just impeach him. Entire agencies, supposedly work for the executive are in outright rebellion and going back to enforcing Biden era policy and ignoring Trump. In short this is what Republican betrayal and weakness looks like.
