PlayStation’s Fairgame$ is going FREE-TO-PLAY and it’s shifting to extraction shooter Haven Studios’ upcoming title was originally pitched as a pure competitive heist game, Development hasn’t been smooth: testers reportedly struggled with the “fun factor,” and studio founder Jade Raymond left in 2025. Still, PlayStation is fully backing the project. Concord 4?

Most game dev teams aren't ready for this. But game updates need to be 10x faster pace than what they are used to. Crimson Desert has shown they can update nearly every week with tons of improvements/refinements. This is the new normal. And, "big secret" is it only possible with AI. Asian studios have no problem using AI. Western AAA Studios are religiously against it. Their Unions are against it. This is going to be a big problem for AAA.

People who understand how to use AI for research, writing, problem-solving, learning, and productivity are gaining a major advantage in work and education. But those who only “touch” the technology risk being left behind as AI becomes part of everyday life.

The Stop Killing Games movement has officially backed the proposed California bill focused on protecting players when online games are shut down. > Publishers must provide an offline mode or a way to keep the game playable after server shutdown. > If this is not possible, players should receive a full refund. > The goal is to protect digital ownership and game preservation. This proposal follows growing concerns over games becoming completely inaccessible once support ends, especially after shutdowns like The Crew. Most gamers think that if players pay for a game, it should remain playable or be fairly compensated.
