Rwanda 🇷🇼 in Mozambique 🇲🇿 #TogetherWeAreStronger The European Union has been providing limited financial support through the European Peace Facility to help sustain the deployment of the Rwanda Defence Force in Cabo Delgado, Mozambique, where Rwandan troops have played a decisive role in restoring security and protecting strategic energy investments. However, discussions within the EU about suspending this support - partly influenced by sanctions from the United States against certain Rwandan military officers- could have unintended consequences. If this minimal financial contribution were halted, Rwanda could reasonably reconsider the sustainability of maintaining its forces in Mozambique and ultimately decide to withdraw. It is important to recall that the external financial support has never matched the scale of Rwanda’s commitment. Beyond covering substantial operational costs, Rwanda’s engagement also entails the highest possible price: the sacrifice of its soldiers, some of whom have been wounded or have lost their lives while securing the region. Should Rwanda disengage, the security gains achieved in Cabo Delgado could quickly erode. In such a scenario, it is likely that the interests most directly affected would be those of Western energy investments - particularly projects led by companies such as TotalEnergies and ExxonMobil - whose operations depend on the stability that the Rwandan presence has helped guarantee. Ultimately, a withdrawal would risk undermining both the hard-won security progress in northern Mozambique and the protection of strategic international investments. The choice will be in the hands of those who will also carry the consequences of their choices

Rich discussions with H.E. @DonaldKaberuka, @_AfricanUnion High Representative for the Peace Fund, on AU Financing, particularly in strengthening the AU Peace Fund’s governance towards ensuring the effective utilisation of resources to promote peace and stability across the continent, through a strategic offer to Member States, in line with the @AUPeaceFund’s three thematic windows, namely; 1) Mediation and Preventive Diplomacy, 2) Peace Support Operations and 3) Institutional Capacity Building, building on Member States’ commitment in 2016 on the revitalization of the AU Peace Fund.

Artificial intelligence is transforming how governments operate and how services are delivered. Public servants are receiving a practical introduction to AI, including the opportunities it unlocks, responsible use, data protection, and human oversight. Public servants who have not yet taken the course are encouraged to do so before the end of the month.

To our fellow East Africans and those haters tweeting about demonstrations in Tanzania and Kenya, and claiming readiness to “help” Rwandans challenge President Paul Kagame: understand clearly who you are speaking to. We are Rwandans—descendants of a people who have survived the darkest chapters of history, including the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi. We are a people who know the true cost of chaos, division, and foreign interference. What you see today in Rwanda—the peace, the unity, the rapid development—is not accidental. It is the fruit of decades of resilience, sacrifice, and disciplined governance under President #PaulKagame, who has dedicated his life to ensuring that Rwandans never again live under fear, oppression, and mass violence. We are the inheritors of that struggle. We are not naive; we know the game of external manipulation, and we will not allow Rwandans’ destiny to be hijacked by outsiders spreading lies or false hope. #Rwanda is more than a country—it is a symbol of rebirth and excellence in Africa. We are proud of our identity, our unity, and our achievements. Any attempt to disrupt that will meet the resolve of a people who have learned to defend their nation with courage, wisdom, and unwavering patriotism. #Rwandans are not spectators of their own story. We build, we protect, and we progress. President Paul Kagame has shown the world that leadership rooted in vision, discipline, and love for the nation transforms the impossible into reality. Those who dream of “helping” us against our own progress are not aware of who they are dealing with. We are Rwanda. We are #Inkotanyi. We are unshakable.

“Calling for an investigation is not too much to ask. Just investigate, or do the minimum, ask those who did the initial report to do a little more.” Amb. Martin Ngoga, warns the UN Security Council against falling into the trap of the ideology of further ethnicizing the situation in Eastern DRC, if no further and credible investigations on the issue are done. #RBANews

The Washington peace deal between the DRC and Rwanda is not aimed at begging the countries that imposed sanctions on Rwanda. If they want, they can keep their sanctions, because no one will plead with them. Those sanctions made Rwanda learn to be self-reliant and reject the arrogance that came with their aid. @ali_naka @KabasingaF @KabagambeI @byukavuba
