Why no such gyan of Eid, @sardesairajdeep? Why do you preach about dignity, restraint and fairness only when it is about Ram Navmi? Or is it your Hinduphobhia that is creating such monsters in your tiny little, left-sided, namaaz-offering brain that you relate to all such lacking only during Ram Navmi!

Narrative Collapse: The Hindu’s Selective Morality on Cinema 📽️ 🗞️ So @the_hindu now tells us Dhurandhar is shaping a “dangerous nationalist citizen” and normalising violence. Interesting - because the same publication had a very different tone when it suited their narrative. For Rang De Basanti, it wasn’t “dangerous”. It was “a challenging storyboard for future filmmakers” and a film that set a trend with its “unconventional narrative style”. A movie where protagonists literally take up arms against the state was celebrated as path-breaking cinema. For Haider, again - no moral panic. It was praised as an “unflinching look at Kashmir’s political history” and positioned as a layered, Shakespearean adaptation - “Haider: Beyond the line of control”. A film deeply embedded in insurgency and revenge narratives was framed as art, nuance, and complexity. Back then, violence had context. It had intellectual cushioning. But the moment a film like Dhurandhar frames violence in the context of national security, justice, and retaliation, suddenly it becomes “toxic nationalism”? That’s not critique. That’s selective morality backed by selective memory. The article throws around buzzwords - “masculinity”, “internal enemies”, “vigilantism” - while ignoring what audiences are actually responding to: justice, sacrifice, and duty. And here comes the bigger contradiction. This is the same ecosystem that has long argued we must “understand why a man picks up violence”- For Naxalists, it was “alienation” and “state failure”. For Jihadists, it was “grievances” and “denied justice”. Violence there demanded empathy, context, and endless explanations of the why. But here? No nuance. No context. Just sweeping condemnation. So which is it? Because what’s really at play here isn’t concern over cinema. It’s discomfort with losing control over the narrative. So instead of handing out moral gyaan, maybe it’s time for the ecosystem of The Hindu to do something simple - Sit back. Watch. And accept that Dhurandhar’s massive success is the only review that actually matters.

March 25, 1971 is observed as Genocide Day. On the occasion of Genocide Day, 1 pay my deepest respect to all the martyrs. In the history of freedom-loving Bangladesh, 25 March 1971 remains one of the most disgraceful and brutal days. On that dark night, the Pakistani occupation forces carried out one of the most heinous genocides in history against the unarmed people of Bangladesh in the name of 'Operation Searchlight". They indiscriminately opened fire on teachers, intellectuals and innocent civilians at various places, including Dhaka University, Pilkhana and Rajarbāgh Police Lines, killing many people. The genocide of 25 March was a pre-planned massacre. Why this organised killing spree could not be resisted remains a matter of historical research regarding the visible role of the political leadership of that time. However, on the night of 25 March, the 8th East Bengal Regiment in Chattogram formally initiated armed resistance against the genocide by declaring 'We Revolt'. Through this resistance to genocide, the long nine-month armed Liberation War began. To convey the value and significance of independence to the present and future generations, it is essential to know about the genocide of 25 March as well. Let us all strive to honour the sacrifices of the martyrs by establishing in the state and society the spirit of the great Liberation War - equality, human dignity and social justice. Let us work together to build a just, developed, prosperous, self-reliant and democratic Bangladesh. I pray to the Almighty Allah to grant forgiveness and eternal peace to the departed souls of all the martyrs. On the occasion of Genocide Day on 25 March. I wish every success to all the programmes organised to observe the day.

Two more Indian ships have successfully crossed the Strait of Hormuz today. President Trump called PM @narendramodi to keep this vital route open. This clearly shows that the USA values India’s growing diplomatic influence and its crucial role in easing global tensions. Congress criticised India’s foreign policy the entire day. But Trump’s call by evening proved them wrong once again!
Narendra Modi@narendramodi

Received a call from President Trump and had a useful exchange of views on the situation in West Asia. India supports de-escalation and restoration of peace at the earliest. Ensuring that the Strait of Hormuz remains open, secure and accessible is essential for the whole world. We agreed to stay in touch regarding efforts towards peace and stability. @realDonaldTrump @POTUS

Liar and manipulator The case that Supreme Court heard was about a pastor illegally converting Hindus to Christianity while feigning Hindu identity on papers so he can use SC atrocity act against anyone who tries to stop his conversion propaganda The only story to be done here is how blatantly the constitutional provision under Article 341 is violated all across India to convert Hindus
Rajdeep Sardesai@sardesairajdeep

Big story: No person who professes a religion other than Hinduism, Sikhism or Buddhism shall be a member of Scheduled caste. Conversion to any other religion results in loss of Scheduled caste status : Supreme Court. Basically, Dalit Christians can’t take advantage of SC protection. Qs is: does religion change end caste discrimination? Courts may need a reality check!

Sir, we’ve all grown up measuring “entertainment” with just one benchmark, YOU. ❤️
Making us whistle, laugh, cry and feel larger than life for decades and still doing it with the same swag and grace, that’s pure magic. So for you to call Dhurandhar 2 a “must watch” feels like the biggest ‘superstar’ moment of my life. It feels like a blessing from the very person who taught us all to dream bigger. Grateful beyond words, Sir. This one is going straight to the heart. Jai Hind 🇮🇳 🙏

Arfa @khanumarfa throws sly in the video asking Congress ‘s Alok Sharma ‘Whether it is dignified to pull Modi ji with Saheb, Bibi aur Ghulam comment… and she has herself titled the video by that comment. A shameless woman who enjoys every attack on PM Modi because of her radicalised mindset!
