I’m still concerned that they may “have a history” but that Doctor Doom blames his disfigurement on Steve Rogers which is still fundamentally wrong

Pedro Pascal says that Doom and Reed have history in ‘AVENGERS: DOOMSDAY’.

@awesomemixnick @Phant0mp0wer @ent_thoughts @ManaByte Id prefer an avengers movie that didn't come out 2 decades after the last one. But that's just me.
English

@Kaidms @Phant0mp0wer @ent_thoughts @ManaByte I promise you I would’ve loved to see an actual rivalry between Reed and Doom or the FF and Doom before this rushed shitshow.

For the past six years, the easiest MCU engagement bait on this app was screaming, "The MCU ended with Endgame!" or "It’s dead without RDJ and Evans." People proudly skipped every movie and show just to farm likes off of fake nostalgia.
Now Avengers: Doomsday is on the horizon. Because those same people spent the entire Multiverse Saga willfully ignoring the overarching narrative, they have absolutely no clue what the actual state of the universe is. So, what’s the new grift? "There’s no build-up!"
It’s lazy. If you actually paid attention instead of chasing clout, you’d see the mechanics of the Multiverse and incursions have been heavily established. Honestly, the structural world-building they've done for this saga is arguably better than the Infinity Stones.

@Phant0mp0wer @ent_thoughts @awesomemixnick @ManaByte Everything can be made better. Nothing is perfect. I think they're doing a good job with what they have to work with.
English

@Kaidms @ent_thoughts @awesomemixnick @ManaByte Maybe not, but Doom having an actual presence in the MCU pre-Doomsday would strengthen his character and the Saga overall.
English

@filmformstudios Nope. You see multiverse in probably 4 films and thats it.
English

I think people also subconsciously blend the build up of the infinity stones to the buildup of Thanos. Apropos of that, multiverse has been built up just as much if not MORE than the infinity stones
Avengers Updates@AvengersUpdated
Kevin Feige addresses fans saying that Doctor Doom has no buildup compared to Thanos: “The Thanos buildup has built up in people’s heads over the years. He sat on a chair at the end. He put on a gauntlet and said, ‘I’ll do it myself.’ And he yelled at Ronin on a video screen briefly.” (via @BrandonDavisBD)

@MrAmazing10 @filmformstudios The infinity stones weren't the infinity stones until guardians 2
English

@filmformstudios Each movie had an inconsistent interpretation of what the multiverse is meant to be.
English

@jahijohnson @filmformstudios Nope. Most people didn't even watch those 2 movies
English

@filmformstudios In order for this point to be good, you have to ignore many things. Including the two Guardians movies. Where Thanos's emotional arc in Infinity war is far less compelling without his presence in those films.
English

@filmformstudios -Loki and Ronan working under him with his army
-Infinity stones in movies before we saw the gauntlet
-Gamora and Nebula speaking on how horrible their father was
-Avengers 1 after credits scene
All of this was happening over the course of like 6 years before we saw him in IW
English

@MutenRoshi31 @filmformstudios The comics point to doom when you see secret wars brother.
English

@filmformstudios But we all knew thanos was after the stones based on comics
The multiverse storylines were disjointed and all over the place
English

@sharanraj06 @filmformstudios Did Ultron feel artificial when he showed up? What about Killmonger? You can establish a villain in their first novie
English

@filmformstudios Yeah for Kang, there was a reason why ppl loved Loki series as it was setting up Kang as the next big baddie of MCU.
Doom was never in the picture in their movies, no foreshadowing nor even a mention.
So this feels artificial but still excited.
English

@ent_thoughts @awesomemixnick @ManaByte Sure, whatever. But they should have given themselves more time to properly integrate Doom into the overall narrative. Have Reed mention Victor and their history in First Steps, make another season of Loki where he learns of a new threat to the multiverse. Something.
English

I have this feeling Tobey and Hugh will be full on leads in Secret Wars as a last hurrah
Nexus Point News@NexusPointNews
Tobey Maguire’s Spider-Man and the Fox X-Men were included in the sizzle reel shown at #SDCC.

@vigilanthwip @1610SPlDEY Man thought they was gonna make a doom movie and have him have no connection to the FF 🥀
English

@1610SPlDEY same. i think because the trailer is narrated by sue and it shows the connection between reed and doom.
English

@mythrilclaws @KameTheHermit @AvengersUpdated I'm a little defensive because these criticisms are sounding more like hate to me.
English

@mythrilclaws @KameTheHermit @AvengersUpdated It's hypocritical to say that about doom but not keep that same energy for Thanos because you have the luxury of hindsight. Again, thanos' story was not set up by IW

@Kaidms @realmaluchiha @Slim_Jesus101 @lando_s04 @AvengersUpdated shouldve been the minimum for doom
