It seems like the pro-Israel crowd believes no American president knows how to handle Iran or Israel’s enemies correctly. Not Trump. Not Vance. Not Biden. Not Obama. Not even Bush. Great. Then the path forward is simple: go your own way and stop involving us. I keep hearing people like Mark Levin say that if Trump pulls away from the conflict, Israel would “kick Iran’s ass” and arm revolutionaries to overthrow the regime. Okay, well in that case, why did America need to be involved in the first place? If that’s realistically achievable and Israel can independently finish the job, take down the regime, and handle Iran on its own, then go do it. Go get the buried enriched uranium underneath the sites you asked America to bomb for you because you didn’t have the weapons necessary. But don’t demand American backing and involvement, don’t convince our leaders you can overthrow a regime, while also claiming America’s leaders are constantly too weak, too stupid, or too restrained to do it properly. I am not denying the threat Iran poses to Israel, America, the region, and the world. A nuclear Iran, backed by ballistic missiles and terror proxies, is a serious threat. But if the argument is that Israel is fully capable of handling this alone, then stop making it America’s burden. Cut the dependency, cut the complaints, and go finish it yourselves. Because by your own argument, you never needed us to begin with.
