I love Resident Evil, so heres to more years and titles!

To celebrate Resident Evil's 30th Anniversary some of my Resident Evil Doodles.

Got that out the way with about a half hour to spare. The worst segment to replay? Probably the Orphanage, everything slows to a crawl.

Funny story about this. The only reason why the "Adventurer's Guild" trope exists is due to the video game Wizardry. Fantasy in Japan was not introduced through novels like Lord of the Rings or Conan. It was video games like Wizardry, which became a major inspiration for Dragon's Quest and Final Fantasy. In Wizardry, you didn't have a set party. You created your own characters and death was permanent, so it wasn't uncommon to create new characters. Swapping and "grinding" were essential aspects of the game. Before you went to the dungeon, you were town where you level up, get items, create new characters, and swap characters. Where did you swap characters? Adventurer's Guild. So now you know why this trope seems to be every anime. It's based on a video game in the 80s that still sways influence today.

@TheSphereHunter I like Operation Raccoon City, it's kind of a shame it gets maligned because it's not something that it's not pretending to be (Survival Horror) Although the real shame is Capcom gatekeeping a good half the game's content as DLC, which is rough.

Operation Raccoon City is 14 years old today! damn, time is flyin! i played ORC with friends religiously back in the day. if you never got into it you literally play as Umbrella. the wolfpack are some of the coolest designed characters, dripping with personality 🐺❤️

Code Veronica is more of a main series game than 3 is. 3 was developed as a small stakes spinoff and was originally called “Resident Evil 1.9”. It’s only named 3 because Capcom knew it’d sell more that way. For all intents and purposes. Code Veronica is actually Resident Evil 3.
