Men are not emotionally absent. Men have learned that emotional honesty has a social cost. And the people who taught them that lesson… …were often the women who said they cared about them the most youtube.com/watch?v=QL0mPg…

The best advice I’ve ever received on relationships came from my step father The worst advice I’ve ever received came from other women Men aren’t my enemy. Believing they are, is.

While shopping yesterday, I saw a man in his fifties standing in the women’s aisle, intently studying boxes of tampons. He looked stressed, like he was afraid of choosing the wrong one. A female employee was patiently helping him, and the concern on his face was so sincere it made me smile and chuckle inside. I thought of how often men quietly do this, setting aside their own discomfort or uncertainty to take care of something personal for their partner or daughter. It’s such a small thing on the surface, but it speaks to a deeper kind of love, care and willingness to show up. To all the men who’ve done this (or will do it) thank you. You handle these moments with grace, even when they feel awkward or unfamiliar. You don’t always hear it, but it’s noticed, and your awesomeness in these moments is appreciated.

I hate to tell men this but The women dressed provocatively in the gym do want attention They are only upset when it comes from the guy they didn’t want it from That’s why the reaction is what it is It’s not your fault for noticing And yes, they will continue to deny this.

@KaitWillett The craziest thing is everyone I know from my Generation(Gen X) who is on the Left & publicly supports the Feminist narrative fully...also happens to have multiple children themselves, & they didn't wait until 40 to start having them. :)

I said this yesterday & was immediately attacked for speaking this caution If you don’t want to be a wife or a mother, fine If you want to spend your life on education and career, fine But let’s not pretend there aren’t hundreds if not thousands of women who feel the same way she does And unfortunately many will have to wait until 40 to come to this conclusion If you don’t want to walk this path, don’t. And don’t let other women convince you that you’re less than because you choose differently.

Whether someone could misuse an observation has no bearing on whether the observation is true. Explaining human behavior is not the same as excusing criminal behavior. Rape is always the rapist’s responsibility, regardless of what someone wears. That has never been the claim under discussion.

@KaitWillett But why imply that to begin with when it could lead to unsafe situations? What if some girl stalker saw that and she came out in a sports bra and he raped her for that? I think if you wanna make claims like this, you might not want to live in America where women are free

You’re changing the discussion again. My claim was descriptive, not prescriptive. Explaining a behavioral pattern isn’t the same as endorsing inappropriate behavior. Saying some people seek attention from certain people does NOT imply that anyone is entitled to harass them. I don’t think anyone would suggest that’s acceptable.

@KaitWillett Or the argument you're making is a strawman in itself and enabling inappropriate actions of men. Why can't women wear what they want and just be comfortable without having to worry about men creeping on them? It's weird.

@PitViperHOA That’s a straw man. My claim was about women intentionally dressing provocatively, not women wearing modest clothing. Those are different scenarios. Your example may be valid on its own, but it doesn’t address the argument I actually made.

@DogmaKarma I imagine for some men, they can’t earn respect if they aren’t even acknowledged. They’re just aiming to be seen/noticed in the first place (but I could be wrong)

I asked men what their equivalent was to receiving flowers I analyzed over 10,000 comments And I was amazed none of the things they listed costed a dime The number 1 thing, (above sex which was number 8 btw) Was acknowledgment Simply being acknowledged

I used to think cooking for man was somehow “bad” or “minimizing” myself But can I just say, making a meal for my husband and seeing him enjoy it… Surprisingly fulfilling.

@KaitWillett @Ni3_Dhoni_SRK I completely agree with that statement, as it was true for me. I cannot fathom any career that would have made my life more fulfilling. I’m just not so presumptuous to think every woman is called to marriage and motherhood. Your account is seeking male attention. Period.

That’s wonderful. I’m happy for your happiness. I’m curious why you don’t agree with the sentiment that marriage/family is more Fulfilling than external validation and careerism based on that? TBH My husband was the person who pushed me to talk about my beliefs, he’s never told me it made him uncomfortable. But that’s a story for another time.

@Ni3_Dhoni_SRK @KaitWillett I’m happily married and quite traditional. My husband would find it weird (if not suspicious/disrespectful) if my entire online presence was aimed at giving men head pats and degrading women. “I’m not like other girls” is a trap and smart men learn this early.

@KaitWillett You’re married yet your entire account is clearly boss babe. You have a business. You’re not a traditional housewife. Does your husband appreciate that you pander to other men as a…hobby?

@berrysweetlady I made enough to take care of myself before my husband. I’m also not sure why you feel the need to be volatile with someone you don’t know anything about. Best of luck to you
