Disability is not inability. It's simply the ability to do things differently. ♿️💡The biggest challenge isn't a physical or mental limitation; it's society's low expectations. What's a misconception about disabilities you wish people would unlearn today? Let’s talk about it in the replies! 👇💬#DisabilityAwareness #InclusionMatters #DifferentNotLess

I have a theory.
The reason most women marry rich men is not out of love, it’s a calculated move. They need him to be rich enough to cater for their financial needs and that of their family, he is just a poverty alleviation scheme. This is the main reason most women will abandon their man once he goes broke and becomes financially unstable. They need to cut their losses on time and find a replacement.
Makes me wonder how we came about it? Who started it? Did society sit and approve this? If yes, does society really care for men or we are just a poverty alleviation scheme for women?

I have a theory. The reason most men marry younger women is not out of love, it’s a calculated move. They need her to be strong enough to cater for them in their old age, she is just a retirement plan. This is the main reason most men will abandon their wives once she gets a terminal illness. They need to cut their losses on time and find a replacement. Makes me wonder how we came about the age gap in marriage. Who started it? Did society sit and approve this? If yes, does society really care about women or we are just tools for men?

I’ve been studying in the quiet zone of the university library for hours. This guy sat across from me and started aggressively chewing ice cubes. I didn't say a word. I just used my phone flashlight to cast a massive, terrifying shadow of a spider onto his study desk from behind his monitor. He screamed and ran out. 🕷️📚

I have recommendations and referrals.
I don't need to update my CV.
For real?
Did you actually mean that?
Let me tell you what happened on my desk last week.
I was sourcing for a Data Analyst / BI Lead role.
I decided not to post the role publicly.
I wanted to search, quietly and strategically.
So I ran a Boolean search.
Using relevant keywords
And then I found this profile.
Well optimised, very clean and Sharp.
Every keyword in the right place.
The kind of profile that makes a recruiter stop scrolling.
I was impressed, very impressed and I won't lie
I used my last InMail to reach out.
My LAST one.
Because I genuinely believe this person was the one.
Then came the CV, I opened it.
And I just sat there.
Bio data, all the person life history
From Date of birth, Nationality, State of Origin etc
No experience clearly laid out.
No achievements.
No structure.
Nothing that matched the profile I had just fallen in love with.
I was confused.
So I asked , why is your CV like this?
And the person answer?
Most of my jobs came through recommendations and referrals.
So I never really updated my CV or care too
I definitely understand.
Referrals are powerful.
Recommendations are gold.
If people are vouching for you, that is a blessing.
Do not take it lightly.
But let me tell you what you just cost yourself.
You cost yourself a role that found YOU.
Not the other way around.
Here is what nobody tells you about referrals and recommendations:
They open the door.
Your CV still has to walk you through it.
The person who referred you
put their own reputation on the line for you.
A bad CV does not just hurt you.
It embarrasses the person who vouched for you.
So please no matter how you have been getting jobs.
No matter how strong your network is.
No matter how many people know your name.
Update your CV as you progress
Not because you are desperate because you are prepared.
Opportunities do not always knock twice.
And recruiters do not always have to enough time to explain
So be prepared at all time
Have you ever lost an opportunity because something as simple as your CV was not ready? and you have so much experience?
I remain your H in HR
blending data with heart to make work human.

🚨Jamie Carragher on Croatia's World Cup exit after their last-minute equaliser against Portugal was ruled out by the referee and VAR:
🗣️ “I feel absolutely heartbroken for Croatia. They've just been knocked out of the FIFA World Cup, and instead of everyone talking about their football, we're talking about another VAR decision.
For me, the referee and VAR have become the biggest story, and that's a problem. If you need endless replays, frozen frames and lines across the screen to rule out a goal of that magnitude, then it simply isn't a clear and obvious mistake.
Croatia believed they had produced one of the greatest moments in their football history. The players celebrated, the fans exploded, and then everything was taken away in seconds. That's devastating. Those are scars that stay with footballers forever.
This is exactly why so many people are frustrated with VAR. It's supposed to eliminate obvious errors, not decide World Cup knockout matches by the smallest possible margins. Football is losing its emotion because officials are searching for perfection instead of applying common sense.
I genuinely believe Croatia have every right to feel robbed. They fought for every ball, they earned that moment, and in the end, it wasn't Portugal who broke their hearts it was the referee and VAR. That's a terrible way for a World Cup journey to end.”
