@ITATJason Because they don’t have a plan on offense. Same scenario all year.

Auburn attempted 26 three-pointers in the first half against a team that has two players taller than 6-7.

How can Auburn be 34 games into the season and not know how to attack a zone? I’m sorry but Burgo has got to figure out a better offense or he has to go.

@aubie1154 @AUtiger00 @CarterByrd13 Correct. California limit is 1 ounce, a misdemeanor. Possession to sell is a felony there with 16 months to 3 years sentence. And that’s California.

It’s hilarious that Alabama swept Aden getting arrested under the rug for multiple weeks to ensure they got the highest seed possible before breaking the news.

How you going to call that illegal screen and Sherrel can push the screenee off his line outside of his cylinder. Easy to get your guys open when you can move while you screen.

@RyanHampton The only problem is you are affecting the resumes of other teams who Alabama played. I don’t know how to remedy that, but it feels unfair. Those losses could have been Q1/2 wins.

As an Auburn fan this is basically my take. I don't necessarily think Alabama should get a postseason ban (although it seems like we would had this been us, but I digress). But it does make sense to take away any wins Alabama had while playing someone who was ineligible. This seems like standard procedure. And judge Alabama's resume based on non-CB games, and don't judge a team for losing to a Bediako Bama team.
Chris Marler@Vern_Funquist

Watching people beg for Alabama to be punished with a postseason ban is so blatantly more to do with Alabama and not objective reasoning haha. Take away the 3 wins in the 5 games he played. Move on. Shut up.

What is allowed as a screen nowadays is unreal. You can set up outside of shoulder width, then use your arms to simultaneously push the defender and create momentum for a roll. They have to cut that out.

@thejuiceisgood @AUChief In theory, a zone puts you between the offense and the goal. You should be in better position to rebound out of zone. You just have to find the nearest guy and box out. Numbers should be in your favor.

@KevinScarbinsky The difference is Sears drawing a foul looked like this. KH goes thru the defender.

Keeping in mind this is not a shot because drawing fouls is an art, a question: Better free-throw merchant - Keyshawn Hall or Mark Sears? Last year Sears shot 237 FTs for Alabama. Hall shot 244 for UCF. This year Hall has shot 180 FTs for Auburn after going 14 for 17 in the Texas win. That leads the SEC.

Taps the sign… Auburn’s offense has to change. Handoffs 30 feet from the basket, dribbling, tough shot.

@macandcube my takeaway from the Byrum Brown discussion is that improvement wouldn’t be from a raised ceiling, but a raised floor. Fewer mistakes, better decision making.

@PabloEscoburner If you look at the definition of penalties and sanctions that the NCAA hands out, leaving Bama out of the NCAA tourney would not considered either a penalty or sanction. That would only be applicable for a postseason ban. Leaving out of the NCAA is not a postseason ban.

Ok so genuine question with this. I’ve read the TRO. But 1) the T is “temporary” 2) is it saying that there can be no recourse for anything that takes place within that 10 days even outside of the 10 day window or just explicitly nothing can be done during the 10 days?
Dan Wetzel@DanWetzel

Idea that NCAA should not count any Alabama victory with Bediako playing has picked up steam. Aside from other issues, the temporary restraining order prohibits the NCAA from “threatening, imposing, attempting to impose, suggesting, or implying any penalties or sanctions.”

@LanceHathorn @SethDavisHoops That’s a topic worth a good debate. I agree. To be fair, euro pro leagues have 14-15 year old playing. No comparable euro collegiate system which is the reason the NCAA has allowed them this far. But still a worthy discussion. Perhaps an age cap would be appropriate there.

The TRO for Bediako specifically states that the NCAA may not penalize Alabama for playing him, or even "suggesting" or "implying" penalties. So what Pope is asking for here would be a clear and direct violation of the law if Bediako wins his injunction next week. Lots of smart, well-intentioned people have great ideas, but very very few of them are actually viable.

Mark Pope on the current NCAA eligibility situation: "The NCAA might lose in court, but they still get to decide who makes the NCAA Tournament... At some point, we have to take a stand, and regain some tiny ounce of sanity. This game matters too much."

@LanceHathorn @SethDavisHoops I’m not the one trying to rationalize, the situations are not the same. Also, Nanji never signed an NBA contract. Bediako signed 3. None of them should be eligible, either you believe that or you don’t.
