This is the problem. People had a problem with Stetson Bennett being 25 but he had to play through the COVID year.
Now you have guys going to court to play as a 25 year old and those same people now support it cause it benefits their school or their job.

We live in a sports world where it’s OK for a 25 year old to stick around college to play against 18 years olds, but an 18 year old can’t go to the pros and play against 25 year olds

@ReportBulldawg Seems logical to me that if I was a 23 yr old and could make $200k or so to play ball vs $65k at some avg job, I might choose college it’s the NCAA’s fault not the athlete. Incentives drive behavior.

@ReportBulldawg There is an understandable mixed reaction here. Emotional and traditional side wants it to be like it was. Leave at 22/23 and get a real job or go pro sports. It also seems rational to want to stay longer and get paid/live the college life.
