Who was the brave unsung hero Tahir Fazal Chaudhary and why he was honoured by Indian army ? Tahir Fazal Chaudhary, also known as "Bahadur-e-Hill Kaka," an unsung hero from Op Sarp Vinash, passed away very recently, on April 22, 2026, at the age of 62 due to a heart attack in Uttarakhand. 16RR paid tribute by performing full military honors. In 2002, Tahir was working in Saudi Arabia when he received news that his brother, Haji Mohammad Arif, had been brutally killed by militants. He immediately quit his job and returned to Poonch, taking a solemn oath to avenge his brother and liberate his homeland.  After His Return To India He mobilized local youth to stand against foreign terrorists and formed ‘Pir Panjal Scouts,' initially funded by himself, who jointly worked with 9 Para SF & 16 RR. His Role in OP Sarp Vinash As a local, he became the eye, ear, and heart of the Indian Army. Where the Army helicopter couldn’t land, he used to provide the precise location of the hideout to foot soldiers of the Indian Army, which led to the killing of 80+ terrorists and dismantled the whole terrorist network in the Pir Panjal mountains. Aftermath Of His Role Tahir killed terrorist commander Kassid, who killed his brother, and kept his AK-47 as a trophy of war for life.

Do you know National Defence Academy Exam is much tougher to crack than UPSC Civil Services? Around 10 lakhs applicant file applications for UPSC Civil Services for around 1000 plus vacancies. But only 5 to 6 lakhs actually appear. Whereas for NDA conducted by same UPSC, same number of applicants competent only for 400 vacancies. In addition for NDA you have SSB interview conducted over 3 to 4 days followed by medical, which is much tougher to clear thn civil services interview which is held in less than one hour? If competitiveness is the criteria to be called elite than NDA is more tougher than Civil Services. NDA and CDS surely deserved to be called elite:) #IAS #Civilservices #NDA

A relative had stomach pains last night. Doctors in Ahmedabad diagnosed her with appendicitis & recommended an emergency surgery. Her mother flew down from Bangalore. Meanwhile she went to Vadodara to be with local guardians & get operated there. Doctors in Vadodara diagnosed her with acid reflux, ruled out appendicitis. Without this second opinion, she would have been operated on today. Accountability of medical professionals in India is astoundingly low.

Remembering the innocent lives lost in the gruesome Pahalgam terror attack on this day last year. They will never be forgotten. My thoughts are also with the bereaved families as they cope with this loss. As a nation, we stand united in grief and resolve. India will never bow to any form of terror. I don’t think people quite understand Indian isolation and Pakistani centrality in this international game. The reason is very simple. Pakistan is an integral part of a cosmopolitan 2bn-strong Islamic world that stretches from Morocco to Indonesia; India is not.

@ZebaSattar If are talking about languages here is a fun fact: Punjabi is most widely spoken language in Pakistan but official federal language in Pakistan is Urdu. Another fun fact: India has 22 constitutionally recognised language including both Punjabi and Urdu.
