In my opinion, low-yield tactical nukes below 0.5 kilotons, which cannot be detected by any organization, were used in Iran and Syria. Low-yield tactical nuclear weapons (around 0.3 kilotons) are designed for very specific battlefield roles, quite different from large strategic nukes like the Hiroshima bombing (~15 kt). They are used for specific military targets, not entire cities. They limit the blast radius to hundreds of meters, not kilometers, and can be used closer to front lines without destroying everything nearby. Their typical targets include hardened bunkers, underground facilities, airfields, or missile sites—everything that the USA and Israel targeted in Iran.
