@KampCreates @samuelliggett If i remember correctly this was leaked in the teraleak

Has anyone got any idea what this DSi is worth? I’ve still got it back at my parents’ house. Given for Top 32 at Worlds 2009. Mine is opened and played… Ran every game on it as a kid. Curious if anyone knows the value. #playpokemon

@75Theskywa3313 @mewtate @redherring32 @WeskMods Unfortunately, the files aren't in a place where I feel good about releasing them. I don't want people to waste time or money trying to 3D print my files thinking that they'll fit perfectly. The 2DS is (unintuitively) very challenging to model, and the last 20% is 80% of the work
English

@mewtate @KampCreates @redherring32 @WeskMods He's obviously ignoring us on this topic, he can easily reply to other projects, but for some reason he likes to ghost us for 2ds shells, so he can keep the design all to himself, especially bad when there's literally no aftermarket shells available. Not on.
English

In addition to the 3DS XL, I've also been reverse engineering the original 2DS shell! This shell will be printable with FDM, so I made my own Gen 6 version, printed by the talented (and patient) @redherring32. 3D scans from @WeskMods on the bitbuilt forums helped with the design

Kamp@KampCreates
I'm very happy with one of my latest projects, reverse engineering the 3DS XL shell! I'm planning on recreating the clear prototype unit that was shown off almost exactly 12 years ago! So far, the 3D printed shells fit very well, I just need to get an actual unit to test with
English

@mewtate @redherring32 @WeskMods Have you tried using Wesk's 3D scans?: bitbuilt.net/forums/threads…
My files aren't ready yet, but the scan's might suffice for 3D printing, depending on what you're looking for
English

@_Jason_Herrmann I've made progress on the electronics, but its on pause for a bit while I work on other projects. Cool to see others working on keyboard controller related projects too!
English

@KampCreates I found this while looking into a similar project. Is this still being worked on?
English

Super cool project, I definitely plan on building my own at some point!

🥳📢After 4 years of hard work, we (LNH-team) are proud to announce that DSpico, our open-source flashcart for the DS(i), is officially released! 🌐 Find all the details on our website!: lnh-team.org

My design is based off of hand measurements and 3D scan references made by @WeskMods on the Bitbuilt forums. Inspired by @YveltalGriffin, who released reversed engineered Dreamcast Controller STEP files!

You can find STLs as well as a STEP file on my Printables: printables.com/model/1402405-…
And on my Makerworld: #profileId-1867909" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">makerworld.com/en/models/1756…

I also just added the files to Makerworld: makerworld.com/models/1660529

I created 3D printable versions of the Nintendo store Gamecube Controller Gashapon Keychains! You can get the print files from my Printables: @KampCreates_426872/models" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">printables.com/@KampCreates_4…
Or Consider ordering them from my PCBWay project page: pcbway.com/project/sharep…

@redherring32 @VoterScumbag I would also love to take credit for them, but I believe those are from the Gamecube controller CAD created by @GearhawkStudio!
English

@VoterScumbag I would love to take credit for those but they were made by @KampCreates 😅
I did surface model the triggers and Z button though.
English

@StonedModder @GearhawkStudio @Creaform Yup! For the location of that screw post, you'd need to measure the radius with the calipers/gage and then measure from one edge to the edge of the screw post.
English

@KampCreates @GearhawkStudio @Creaform So for example. Make the initial rectangle by measuring from edge to edge. And then it should just be a matter of matching to a gauge and doing the filet on the corners?
Just making sure I am understanding and that won’t do something weird lol. I appreciate this ❤️

English

@StonedModder @GearhawkStudio @Creaform You can get a set of radius gauges! They are basically a bunch of thin metal sheets with internal/external radii of known sizes cut into them. You press them up against the fillet you want to measure to check if it matches. You can also print a set, but that's less accurate
English

@KampCreates @GearhawkStudio @Creaform I’m just so bad at the curves/filets. I can’t figure out how to measure them without just a bunch of trial and error. The switch ones took an embarrassing amount of test prints to dial in 🙈
Any chance you can recommend some terms to google to help with this?

English

@StonedModder @GearhawkStudio @Creaform It probably isn't good enough for features that small. However, a DS flashcart has a pretty straightforward shell, you could probably get away with caliper measurements!
English

@KampCreates @GearhawkStudio @Creaform Hell yea, that’s dope! If you don’t mind me asking, how well does it handle small details? I want a scanner for these DS flashcart shells, but am afraid to drop money on something not good enough
English

I forgot to add: the front and rear shells were each printed in one part on my @BambulabGlobal H2D! They turned out very nicely!
English

@AquaticElder One of these days you'll hopefully be able to build your own from scratch! :)
English

@KampCreates One of these days, i will buy the keyboard controller
