Allowing a witness for the prosecution to get away with a more serious crime in exchange for testimony that the prosecution hopes will convict a political target of a lesser crime is a low point for the Democratic Party’s political and legal machine. And how could anyone on a jury rely on Cohen’s testimony in light of the above? This is a real low point for our democracy and the credibility of NY’s attorney general.
