Despite the loss, it is worth mentioning again how incredible Dobes was again tonight. His sprawling saves made this a much tighter game than it could have been. We can say that Buffalo were lucky with the goal off the Zamboni door (and man I can’t believe this has happened a few times this year), but in reality, Habs had many chances to put this game on the PP and couldn’t do it. Reminded me very much of Game 4 vs Tampa. We gotta be picking up the guys in front of the net, it was way too easy for Benson. Don’t think we need to get too worried, but I believe the Habs MUST win Game 5 just like they did in Round 1. Keep the faith, it’s gonna be a rollercoaster till the end, GO HABS GO!

The results: 25 elimination games for/against Leafs 2017-25: Matthews 8-8-16 Marner 2-14-16 (Same scoring rate) 0.64 ppg Leafs fans/media are also great at narratives.

Leafs fans got upset about my tweet about Marner. Who, by the way, is 4th All-Time in playoff points per game for their organization. Who was a PPG player during his time there. Was never outside the Top 3 in scoring during his time there in the playoffs. He also had 31 hits in 13 playoff games with the team, 5th highest on the roster during that time. It was never Marner's fault. Not ever. Not once. Not close. You're all just mutant man-babies that are incapable of doing anything but rushing to blame your superstars for your shortcomings. Your ownership failed to put a roster together around one of the most promising cores in NHL history and your media and fanbase have chewed up the club so badly at this point your best bet is to likely go full-tilt and blow it up, rebuilding around McKenna... But even if you did have the stones to do that you'd just repeat this vicious cycle again. Because most of you are absolute mutants.
