Farewell #Twitter; we had fun and debates. But @X is a different, dystopian place. Off to BSky.

@TIRBYChannel @dom_lucre Dionysian Mysteries was a satanic cult of debauchery. Dionysus used exact same instrument, rhythm & techniques 2 summon their demon god that is deployed by modern satanists. Bull Roarer is used globally by Dionysus, AU Aboriginals, American Natives, Lavey & Kabbalistic Freemasons

🔥🚨BREAKING: The World Olympics organizers have removed the opening ceremony from YouTube due to the recent backlash. The final straw appears to have been the dancing naked blue man featured in the 2024 World Olympic Games opening ceremony who was seen singing his single “Nu” which translates to “Naked” while being placed in the middle of the red carpet to represent being the ‘dish’ in the drag queen recreation of Jesus Last Supper. The backlash from Christians appears to have been larger than expected. The singer is French actor Phillippe Katerine dressed as Dionysus, the Greek god of wine, festivity French people on X, formerly Twitter, seem to view Phillippe as a national treasure and were delighted to see him introduced to the wider world in this peculiar way, dubbing it the result of 'the French genius'. One wrote: '1 billion human beings who discover Phillippe Katerine in this way, that's my France'.

@_EyesWideOpen__ @TTRadioOfficial My son once forgot his tie. Genuine mistake. Maths teacher said "It happens. Your punishment will be every person you meet all day asking why you aren't wearing a tie." And he was right! Hasn't forgotten it again. Seems more... normal? Realistic? Reasonable?

A parent has taken to TikTok in a video entitled 'UK schools make me so mad'. She describes her sons school as like a prison. Any thoughts TTR listeners?

@thefish64 @helenessex2 @TTRadioOfficial If you taught, you'd know he was. The refusing to hand the phone over reveals that this lad doesn't respect boundaries or authority. When that type of behaviour is flaunted in front of other kids, believe me, whole lessons can be disrupted.

Why have so many secondary teachers got such little respect for primary (esp EYFS) and AP colleagues? Why do they feel so superior ?

@aylatwork @Eccconomics @RachelDelahaye My son's studying at Leiden University, The Hague campus. In his first yr he got uni housing, €400 per month for a converted shipping container bedsit. It was great! This yr, no problem with a room in shared house costing a little more. Must vary city to city.

@Eccconomics @RachelDelahaye I have 2 kids studying at Dutch uni. How did your son managed to avoid the dramatic Dutch housing crisis. Is it a University College? That's the very small exception. Not the rule.

@BenKentish Unfortunately Lammy's statements are often arrogantly misogynistic. Its not enough to play the tough childhood during the 80s card. First of all he needs to sort out his views on women and cervices.

There are many inspiring stories among the new Cabinet - the first female Chancellor, the cancer survivor in charge of the NHS, the former care worker turned Deputy PM - but David Lammy and Bridget Phillipson stand out as symbolising everything that should be possible in Britain but too often isn’t: growing up in tough areas in the 80s with very little, raised by single parents in council homes, and now senior Cabinet ministers. Quite something.

@hnjsamuels Went to bed at 3am having dithered btwn BBC1 and Channel 4. Popped Radio 4 on and then couldn't sleep bc the coverage there was so much better. Bit like cricket: next election try TV for graphics but Radio 4 for grown up discussion.

We've switched over to ITV and it had actual coverage of Harrogate and discussion of the Lib Dems for more than ten seconds, but the quality of coverage from all the major channels is really lacking. So many talking heads –– I want numbers and declarations!

As I do at every general election. I wish the new government, whomever forms it, well. I hope they do what is needed for the country, and make lives better for the people of the UK. And right now, with much of our societal infrastructure struggling, improvement is needed, and needed soon.
